While true that the private sector does not work the same as the government sector, both Vivek and Elon have grown successful businesses in highly regulated industries giving them keen insights into how they might make those areas more effective. They are both, uniquely qualified for this effort.

Some evidence suggests that the large corporations push regulations that disadvantage the smaller ones that can't easily bear the expense of complying. Why would they undo the system that has put them where they're at?
