TOMY Plarail Skarloey and blue coaches unboxing review and first run

The first Trackmaster item/set I ever gotten is the Trackmaster HiT Skarloey at the Lumber Yard set. I still have it with me. Good memories. Also, I detailed my Skarloey by making it look like a railway series model. And also, I gave him moving traction rods.

Salty is a great looking loco and runs well, Harvey comes with that powered works coach which is nice and Skarloey comes with a lovely pair of blue coaches (plarail). Hard choice hey!

Good review! I own a HiT Toys Skarloey and i noticed that mines has a darker red coat of paint, while your TOMY one has a bright red color. I think TOMY made Skarloey to resemble the Classic series (his paint was bright) and HiT Toys and F-P made their Skarloey to resemble the New/Animated series (he has now a darker color). Skerloey is one of the fastest engines on my collection so far.

yes it is quite a light color red in person too, the camera under lights does a decent job of translating color to you guys.

If you get 2 more of Skarloey's coaches & a breakvan. You can turn them into Agnes, Ruth, Lucy. Jemima and Beatrice from the Railway Series.

Hi probably not a dedicated narrow gauge but more a branchline that I can use for smaller trains including the narrow gauge fleet.

when i took him out of the box and he didn't start? well some engines have this happen as they travel a long way through the mail and get bumped/knocked or they have sat in a warehouse for a long time. who knows hehe.
