mk 1.5 is very much like a fuzz face with less low end.They're almost the same circuit fwiiw.My Lady Startdust mk1.5 has a low end knob to dial in mor elows like a fuzz face,it does both pretty much.

Mk1 and mk1.5 we're both my favorite, I'd probably choose mk1 first though. Mark 2 is cool but not my vibe.

Mk1 is the hardest to build but the most rewarding to get right, it has a dynamic cutting sound compared to the others, mk2 is the thickest though.

@@regayers that's exactly why I liked both of them, the mark 1 just cut through and I can imagine it being perfect in a punk rock band or some garage rock where you don't necessarily want a thick sound. The mark 2 and it's more full sound I think would be great with a down tuned guitar
