Yep, definitely a major f*ck up, but one of the most important lessons I ever learned in business is that while you can attempt to mitigate mistakes or issues, you can't prevent them completely. What sets a good business apart from a great one, is how you handle those mistakes when they happen. While that is taylored towards a business, I think it applies here as well. Kennedy was riding in an open top car when he was killed. That would never happen today, because the Secret Service learned from the mistake. I'm extremely relieved to know that Trump survived realatively unscathed, and my heart goes out to the victims who weren't so lucky, but I think everyone will learn from this, and future presidents will be more safe as a result of what was learned.
