I play the Dual Terror through an 80s Marshall 4x12. Everything cranked. I clean it up with my volume knob when I feel the need. Sold my JCM 800 and don't miss it

I got an Orange Or15 about a month ago for a deal you could cry for. I absolutely love it. It's a killer recording amp. I gig as a bassist, so this little amp is great for recording projects.

On my Orange Dual Terror, I start with the master volumes full up. I slowly bring up the gain until it starts to break up at about 9 to 10 o’clock. It’s a huge range of Glorious sounds! 🔊👍✨

Great reviews but I wish you had used the same guitars and same speaker cabs. My OR15 is sensitive to the type of pickup used. It loves humbuckers for the higher gain and loves single coils for clean to blues.

Well soon there'll be little clarinet students etc writing 'snarlimente' in pencil on thier music.. I like the fact that there are no unusable 'dusty' regions in the pots on these Orange amps. Great video, thanks guys!

The or15 is my favorite amp. Sounds good at.low volumes as well as cranked

Prefer the Dual Terror. I wish they would have used the same guitar though. Or have one guy plug into each amp one after the other. So we get an idea how they are different through same guitar and same player.

No doubt the OR15 is a looser vintage sounding amp by Orange. The Dual Terror is tighter, more ‘boosted’ sounding.

Ahh man you guys finally promoted the real trick with Orange amps. Master cranked and with the gain around 9 o clock or barely 10. You get this beautiful clean tone with bit of hair on it and when you push it with a transparent OD you get really rich saturation. It really annoys me that just because you use Orange amps people think you play metal , or a some monster high gain player and I am like no Orange is so much more than that man. Lol 😂

This is actually the opposite of what I knew coming up. Until I got into the nerdiness behind the "doom" and "stoner" genres, I always heard of Orange amps in a classic context. Things like the Jim Root or Brent Hinds terror amps were oddities, and everyone I heard of that played Orange were after some 70s type sound. Only recently have I learned about the history of high gain Orange use, and jumped on the bandwagon lol.
