I don’t have any help for you on that unfortunately. There are so many popping up I’ve completely lost track. My advice would be to really do your research and make sure the instructors are working professionals that actually do the type of work you are interested in.

I cant tell you how helpful and informative your videos are!!! THANKYOU! Quick question: could I have 3 shades of foundation (lightest, medium and the darkest shade) and then mix and use them? I am based in India and majority of the time I have clients with warm golden undertones, so can I just get the 3 shades in warm tones and custom match it ?

No that won’t be sufficient. You need to have different finishes and textures of foundation and you need to be able to accommodate any skin tone if you are going to be working as a makeup artist.

Beautiful, Angie! Do you have any tips on faster eyeshadow application for bridal makeup? Most of my brides love the classic bridal look but I feel like I take way too long on the eyes.

I use primer and good quality shadows that are pigmented and go on easily - that saves time for me.

I also do the eyes first so I can be as messy and fast as I want - I clean up the fall out and move on to the foundation.

Will a mineralized blush/product pwith reflective properties be flattering on crepey (older) eyelids--used as u did here--Or am I fantasizing again?

It totally depends on the client and the product you are using. Sometimes a product that reflects light can make the eyelid look smoother but not always.

Gorgeous look Angie!!I have a question, are Kohl eye-liner pencils safe to use on waterlines with clients? Can they be properly sanitised? I'm not sure if they are considered a pencil or cream type eye-liner because they are so creamy? Im referring to Inglot Kohl pencils. Thank you!

Yes they can be used on the water line (i'm not sure about Inglot specifically, but kohl pencils are usually fine). I dip my pencils in 70% alcohol and let them dry.

I think you are referring to what was on the palette when I was applying the red?? If so that’s the RCMA cream blush in either Gena Pink or Coral Kiss.

Which brushes do you recommend for kits, now that MAC's brushes are all synthetic? I have synthetics I like better than theirs, & higher-end brushes that are wonderful; but who still makes workhorse, quality/durable/less-scratchy, more affordable naturals?

That’s a hard one for me to answer because I really haven’t purchased any new brushes for myself for quite some time. Real Techniques have always worked well for me but I’ve been using the same brushes for myself for years. If I do purchase any new ones I’ll be sure to post about it.

I've tried the new all-synthetic MAC brushes and I have to say I'm really sad they won't be selling my favorite natural brushes anymore... BUT because of this inconvenience, I forced myself to purchase a large Morphe set and found that a lot of them are quite comparable to my MAC brushes (the older ones, with natural hair). My pro kit now consists of a happy family of MAC + MORPHE. I appreciate the affordability, the quality, and of course the 10% off discount codes you can find all over KZbin. Real Techniques has some nice brushes too but I'm a stickler for uniformity and the Real Techniques stick out like a sore thumb in my brush folder lol!

I forgot to add, though - for things like lip brushes or fine detail brushes, the craft/art supply stores have some that hold shape really well, and are super duper affordable!

Aza Torres Thanks for the tips...I was already considering the art supply route...but as you alluded to, there are some shapes used in make-up application that aren't really applicable to painting. I haven't tried Morphe to date, because I like to see/feel brushes in person before I purchase, & there aren't any Morphe stores where I live. I've also heard that their naturals ar inconsistent...some decent quality & durable, others scratchy & semi-disposable. Of course they're affordable, but I have some personal brushes I've been using for years & they're still like new. You don't have issues w/excessive bristle-loss, or from cleaning/sanitization?

I totally feel you! I would much rather be able to touch the brushes before buying, but here in Hawai'i we unfortunately don't even have a NYX store, much less Morphe :/ Nonetheless I sprung for the brushes when I went into a panic about the MAC change lol. Anyway out of the 25(?) Morphe brushes I own the only one I didn't approve of was the M437. It doesn't shed, but whatever dye they used to color the bristles bleeds when it's washed and for some reason that really bothers me... But I haven't experienced any excessive shedding or pokey-bristles whatsoever! I deep clean with Dr. Bronner's soap and when they're dried I spray with a little Fix+ to condition and reshape them. I found that it's amazing for the brushes yet gentle/subtle enough so it doesn't affect their function with powders and such. So far I've had the Morphe brushes for a few months, and they're still in good condition. I've worked for MAC for a while and when our brushes get abused or are just plain old -- they seem to almost shrink with age due to the loss of bristles. Contrarily, the Morphe brushes seem to become a slight bit fluffier with use. That's pretty much the only difference I've noticed with the two brands.

The picture of the model at 12:03 from today’s bride, you showed her picture on the left, next to your model , you said the red was a bit warmer on your today’s bride model,s lips, it had a blue background also, in the picture, it was such a pretty color, I wondered if it was a Mac product you used on her lips

Oh gotcha. Sorry this was so long ago I forgot what was even in the video. It was Dubonnet from MAC and I think I used Brick liner also from MAC in that shoot.
