Alexandra, the first time I ever heard you play, I wondered what sort of instrument you were playing because I couldn’t remember ever hearing such lovely musical sounds from a guitar. In my mind, you are a master of tone production, and it shows. Sometimes the sounds you make give me chills. At risk of sounding maudlin, sometimes you’ve nearly brought me to tears. That happened to be often when I was young, but it’s not easy for any performer to make it happen now.

I marvel at every aspect of your guitar playing but it's the tone you produce that intrigues me the most.

How true your advice is about tone.I have been playing guitar since i was twelve but i played electric guitar, and then switched to electric bass all in bands.All different genres of music.And then my influence came upon hearing Maestro Ralph Towner.I started all over. learning ab out music, listening, technique on a classical guitar and 12 string.After many years of practicing i learned about how important tone is among othet skills.The guitar is an unforgiving instrument.Keep up your good work, you are on the right path.Kudos to you.Love your you tube posts!!!!

My nails are tough as bone from active gardening, working in soil. Only problem then becomes tight muscles in hands after working with them. That's when I use the hand soak I suggested to you OR taking a walk and allowing circulation to loosen them. Btw, I love your accent, could listen all day!! Lol. Good clear teaching Alexandra...

Talking about nails i have a friend who plays and everyday mixes jello with a cup of warm water drinks it.. says the high protein helps his nails. Must admit he has very strong nails .. do you do anything to strengthen your nails?
@alperenardasisman16914 жыл бұрын
I do something strengthening my nail as my nails were very weak. Ingredients :) 1/2 piece of crushed garlic (not necessary / if you don't want that bad smell) 1 teaspoon of olive oil 1/2 teaspoon of corbonate Mix them and do not drink but brush your nails with it and leave it overnight. :) (You can apply plaster because you move as you sleep and can make you bed sheets dirty)

What a great lesson. Could you help me out with a question? I've heard that we need to play on top of strings to get a softer, fuller sound. When I do this especially on lower strings on fast pieces like tremolo I have to change my angles of fingers which compromise with speed and precision. Any suggestions? Thanks
