@@BrittneeAlexus hi Brittnee,I am new to hair coloring and want to try it at home..so it seems here you used pravana permanent hair color in 9v with 10 developer wondering if same result(hard line blending) can be achieved with redken semi permanent toner in eq shade in 9 level mixed with their processing solution ? Or should I look for a permanent hair color in level 9 v for hair blending+ tonning if I am unable to buy pravana? Most people do root tap for blending and then use all over tonner on all over but your method is easier..plzz reply

Brittnee Alexus Hi Brittnee. It came out okay I think for my first time. I used a 35 developer with a generic bleach powder and my processing time was 40 minutes because I have natural dark brown hair. I also now need to apply a darker hair color to cover my grey roots, and not sure what will happen to my highlights? And I have a question about quality of products: do all brands of powder bleach and developers produce the same highlighting results if used properly?

I have 2 questions. 1- can you mix gloss with toner? 2- i typically like my highlights on the warmer side as I look really good in warm tones. It’s what I’ve always done. With that being the case would I still follow these steps? How do I keep them warm without leaving them too yellow if that’s possible? I moved recently and went to the same stylist for 8+ years so I’m trying to just maintain my color atm.

Girl thank you so much for this and your other videos! Don’t know why I felt so confident enough to do this at home but it definitely helped me out soooo much! Quick question and I figured I’d ask for some vague advice. I highlighted my roots but got scared of the bleach after 15-20 minutes (used 20 volume) and I’m not thinking it was enough to lift it to my color beforehand. I toned it with T11-T18 and 20/10vol developer and still have a bit of yellow/brass. I’m thinking I need to go back in and actually let it lift. Any advice? Thank you SO MUCH!! you’re LITERALLY amazing

Hi I really enjoy your videos. This is my first time ever commenting on anything ever on KZbin. That should tell you I’m having a hair emergency and need the best advice possible. I really hope you’re able to read this because I’m getting married on feb 10th 2024 and today is feb 2nd. My hair is similar to yours and I’m also going to install tape in extensions. They are 20in and human hair already a ombré darker root to blonde which almost match my hair exactly since my roots have grown out just not as much. My hair also has a yellow orange band from the last two times I touched my roots up by myself. I had trouble seeing the back and didnt do it in the correct application order plus put to much of this bonding booster recommended by someone at Sally’s. I just bought all the stuff last night again recommended by Sally’s worker. I just wana see if you agree with what I purchased and if I’ll achieve the color I want. The extensions are going to have to be toned as well cause I want a whiter blonde but I think only my hair where the band is has to be lightened again to the correct level for the toner to work. Idk how to send you any pictures on here and it’s probably a far fetch idea reaching out in my limited time span. I could really use ur help your amazing after watching several of your videos. Fingers crossed that I hear back from you soon. Thanks

BRAVO!!!! Light bulb moment when you switched the screen to black and white to show level.... and in turn UNDERtone... TY! Your great... I am watching all your videos now. I will look through your videos but would love a video on highlift vs bleach. I have heard people say they use high lift in between visits or to take a break from bleach but I wondered if it works why would you need to go back to bleach if your goal is just highlights. Hmm I guess because hair color fades... I’m answering my own question but is that correct... anyway thanks! And I’m sure you will be sponsored soon... stay safe 🤗

Highlift colors tone the hair at the same time and cause less damage. The downside is they don't lift as well as lightener but, I will put that on my list of videos to make! Fingers Crossed, thanks for subscribing!

I follow tutorials , however I always get a dark tone when using 9v, 9t, 9p, 9t , clear with processing fluid or ( 10 series ) my guess is my hair pulls the hues of the tones but I don’t know? Really good! Thank you so much. I am a level 5/6 and am bleaching it ( over 2-3 sessions so it doesn't get too damaged). I am now in the level 7/8 with orange undertones. My plan now is to bleach again ( using PulpRiot Clay Lightener and 40VOL with Olpalex 1) and tone after with Shades EQ 9N or 9P. My question is, how do I put some lowlights back in ( I have 6N), at the same time I bleach? Hope that makes sense. I couldn't figure out how to upload a photo. You're amazing!
@BrittneeAlexus4 жыл бұрын
Carly, thank you! The darker color (6N) needs to stay on for 35 minutes- you alternate your foils (bleach, bleach, 6N, bleach, bleach, 6N, repeat)- spray out the blonde foils with water to stop it from processing once they are done and leave the 6N foils to process. Or you can do a totally different application of the 6N foils once you finish your highlighting, but that's a lot of extra time + work.

@BrittneeAlexus3 жыл бұрын
For a toner you should stick to 10 volume, apply it on towel dried hair for 15-20 minutes. 9BV is a really nice toner (it has blue and violet undertones that cancel out yellow and orange hues) Most color lines make that color- you will just mix it (equal parts) with 10 volume.
