For $180 I think it’s a no brainer. If nothing else, have it on my pedal board for any effects pedal you want and worst case it becomes a backup amp if something were to happen to my stomp.

Thanks for the video, curious to know whether it could be paired with a Helix Lt to provide the amp ( presumably single, not dual) and use the Helix to provide the effects like reverb and delay? Or provide different overdrives to sync with amps in the helix?

Yes this can absolutely be done. The pedalboard I am building is running the TONEX into my HX Stomp for wet effects!

@@ZachBrobstMusic that’s interesting, would you do a video to show how to set it up? My feeling is that Tonex amps might sound better than the Helix ones given the profiler / modeller difference? Could you pair it with a Helix amp though to get a dual amp setting as an option?

Just a few basic effects! Reverb, compression and a noise gate!

Does Dual mode mean different amps/cabs in left and right?

It does not. Dual mode just means that you can go from one amp capture and then with the press of the footswitch you can go to a new amp capture.

Great question - IKMultiMedia (TONEX) provided me the pedal but IK MultiMedia did not get any say into the production of the video or what is said in the video. I also wasn't paid to make this video but I do get to keep the TONEX One. Hope that things up for you there!

Yes the app may not be supported it they theoretically go out of business but that doesn't mean the app wouldn't work. It just wouldn't have new firmware/feature updates. The hardware would still work and the company could choose to open source their code if they went under and someone else could own it

IK multimédia started in 1996. Their software, Amplitube is a big success. They seem reliable.

You can use the ouput jack and plug in a quarter inch to 3.5mm adapter and use it with headphones!

@@ZachBrobstMusic I see. I wonder if a cool video idea for you to make would be testing the sound of the TONEX ONE within the effects loop of the HX Stomp. Whether or not the HX Stomp fx loop would color the sound of the tonex. You could literally make a rig of amps and wet effects with just a tonex one and HX stomp with midi!

You can’t have a big display on a small pedal 😂 theoretically you can do all settings on the pedals knob, but you will get lost very fast. How to identifie the amp model behind the purple light or how to refund the Marshall amp model in alive situation. Consider this before you buy a pedal like this or like Line6 Pod Express or so.
