Hi, I'm 78 and have three sons, the eldest being 56 and one of things I've enjoyed sharing the most, is my love of music and each one of my sons has a different take on their favourite genre. I think I've added to their library and they have added to mine. That's the great thing about music.

Ain't crushed velvet. It may be real silk velvet however, which was way more serious than crushed velvet in the day, and harder to work with. I'm old enough to be your dad's mom, Toney. And I used to sew them suits, dears, in the tailor shop belonging to my son's dad, for the jazz musician community in Manhattan NYC. And Toney, your dad looks like my son, even to the beard, LOL. Dad Teach Him!! Dad spoke the truth. This generation has no idea what real singers sound like. People who actually played instruments live, no auto-tunes. And the groups Jackson 5, Temptations. Chi-Lites, Tavares, Ojays and on and on. What beautiful music. I'm so glad Silk Sonic is showing the younger generation what real singers, dancers and showmanship looks like. Love me some Silk Sonic. This song has really made me so happy, I've only listened to this at least 20 times since it was released. Dad Great Job explaining that era to your son. Respect to you Dad!!

SEE? YOUR DADDIE KNOWS HOW MUSIC WAS BACK IN THE DAY! you see, groups had this thing called A BAND! and every member of that band had to know what they were doing to "bring on the funk" make us "feel the soul" and "make our bodies move". no computer generated crap was needed. and the beautiful thing about music of the 60's and mainly 70's was that it was music coming from everywhere and everybody had their own sound. you had GAMBLE AND HUFF coming out of philly with the Stylistics, Intruders, Delphonics, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, The Dramatics, the OJays, you had the funk of Memphis with Stax Booker T and the MG's, Rufus Thomas, Issac Hayes, The Soul Children, Sam and Dave, and then, you had your "Blue Eyed Soul" bands like Average White Band, Tower of Power, War, Chicago, and other funk bands like Sly and the Family Stone, Kool and the Gang, Lakeside, Cameo, Ohio Players, and of course, MOTOWN. So, the music of those days had a unique and beautiful sound all their own which was wonderful and it should always be cherished and i am so thankful that groups like Silk Sonic is keeping it real and making it funky in their own flava. and that is the way it should be.

Hey, bringing pops on the set was definitely cool... It was nice to get some prospective from a real O'G... I would like to see pops again with some reaction on Bruno new album, tell pops my request!!! I think if you inform pops on how Bruno is more than a singer and performer, but that Bruno is the main producer, arranger, writer, musician over several instruments, dynamic singer with vocal arrangements, dancer and dance steps arrangements, fashion and designs, major part in all parts of productions, a global sensation, with a lot of contribution from Anderson Paak and from others... When you consider all this, he is probably just about there with Michael Jaclkson.... Probably after this new album and tour, he will be in the same conversation as Michael Jackson...

This music and flavor are from my teens and early 20s back in the day (approaching my late 60s now), including the long pointed collars (also wore them back in the day). Woooo...can't get that hook and those harmonies out of my head. Don't forget yah...Remember Bootsy Collins' (bought his music when he led Bootsy's Rubber Band back in the day) in the background schooling Bruno and Andy .Paak to continue carrying on this sound of music.... P.S. Son...sewing and designing fashion was really a big deal during the 1970s. My father used to stay up watching me sew all my clothes ranging from blouses, skirts, mini and maxi dresses to hot pants, gauchos, coats, and shoulder bags that matched clothes that I made. My father asked lots of questions about how to do this and that along the way, with me explaining diferences between blouses and shirts, how zippers were sewn on pants, sewing seams, and more. My father learned to sew well enough to make my mother's and his own clothes for the cabarets (esp. his and her dashikis), then he graduated to making custom clothes for his friends and coworkers....

THANKS Tony & Pops!! I hoped you'd react to him. Your son is a fool! 😂 It's no way that your mom is as chill as pops. You're just "special". A whole ass. Beautiful personality/spirit. Pop, I saw your head boppin. Hope we see you in more reactions. Thx again! Loved it.

Your reactions were on POINT ! She stressed him OUT ! THEY DID THAT ! They say BOOTSY COLLINS was doing the intro ... This was the BOMB ! I laughed and teared-up at the same time. This is so 2021 ! SHOUT OUT to the musicians ! They captured the true essence of R&B music ! I SMELL GRAMMYS ! This a complete production !

Does pops realize that Bootsy was the one talking when the song started? He actually narrates the album.
