@erdnola She won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993. I do not believe it was for a specific book but for her contribution to literature. Her citation reads, " Toni Morrison, 'who in novels characterized by visionary force and poetic import, gives life to an essential aspect of American reality.'" She also won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988 for Beloved.
