The Golden Era "Timeless" persona is _waaay_ more interesting to me than generic 'glam metal rock chick wrestler' #42. It's easy to forget, but there was a period a few years back when Rhea Ripley, Saraya, Ruby Soho, Cora Jade, and several other indie wrestler's characters were practically interchangeable. Many replies in the comment thread want the other version of Toni back when she returns. But, I enjoy the paranoid, dramatic starlet. It revived her career. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly I'm not mad if Toni Storm decides to retire the "Timeless" gimmick. I don’t think wwe dropped the ball or missed anything with Swerve or Toni. WWE has been having the same storyline going for almost 5 years, and people are still showing up and reacting and wwe is making money hand over fist. Unfortunately, they didn’t see any potential in keeping them around..sadly that’s how business works. Lashley, EDGE, Ambrose etc have left and it’s done nothing to hurt WWE.

To answer Adam's question about it: in the eastern Europe the trend of "liking" people who are not necessarily smart or... who basically are an eleven pence'a shilling, was a big thing about 10-15 years ago. They were called patostreamers (etymology: pathology) but since then we've grown out of exploiting them and it's no longer cool to watch them making fools of themselves. Hope America gets to that point at some point as well, although I sincerely doubt it since they still have racism.
