Excellent Coverage. You're one of the few youtubers that can cover a con correctly in my books. I want to see the actual merchandise. I said it previously and I'll say it again, another reason I watch your channel is because I like the books you actually select. Especially the Disney and DC Books. As much as you hope to get a book you want I highly agree and recommend to wait if it doesn't feel right. I too hunt for books you don't see in the wild that often but when you score one, it makes the quest far more satisfying. Last big con I went to was frustrating. Fan Expo in Philly and I too was searching for Golden Age Disney Books. Found a few cool raw books where the covers caught my attention, but actual keys? Holy hell those guys were literally charging the same prices for their mid grade raw copies as Heritage did for actual high graded sales! I wanted to ask them if they're smoking dope or do they really expect buyers not to do their homework before making a substantial purchase like that?

I've felt the same way about the dealers at all the Fan Expos I've been to unfortunately I don't get it, I'd want to move books if I were them

im glad you got to got to heroes con,... its been great every time ive gone,....lots of great dealers ive bought some great books there and made some friends as well,.... also lots of super artists there too,... charlottes a good town,...better bring yer own hot sauce tho',......

Bedrock City -- that dealer was at a convention I went to in September of last year. Great books but his prices were outlandish. He had an X-men #1 5.0 on the wall at $25,000, best he would do was $21,000. The GPA at the time was around $14,000 as I recall. This has been my typical experience at large conventions. It's good to hear you thought the prices were more reasonable. But you didn't seem to buy much?

I hadn't seen him before, but yes, he's prices seemed to be more reasonable. For example he had his action comics 23 in a 4.0 for $20k, I saw one on comic link recently go for $16.5k, and it had dried glue on cover. So he was at least in the ballpark and definitely more reasonable than a lot of dealers I see at cons Unfortunately no, I did not. I would've like to have gone for two days, one to film, one to enjoy, but unfortunately I couldn't. The con was like 7 hours, which wasn't enough time to see everything, film, talk with everyone, eat, and do serious digging. So the time I did spend looking, it was 95% wall books Wish I had more time to dig, I would've bought more. And as far as wall books, the only one I saw that was on my list and in the condition I'd want it in was the Wonder Woman 6 Hope that helps explain it!

Superworld does have a lot of raw books. I believe that is intentional. A few years ago, I saw a raw 50’s Action Comics online from them. They graded it a VF+. I took a chance and bought it. When I received it, I was disappointed. I sent it to CGC and it came back as a 6.5 which confirmed my disappointment. I will never buy another book from SuperWorld.

Hey Morgan, thanks for the Con coverage. It was done well, even for one day. June is also my birth month, and I seriously thought about going. I've never been to Heroes, and like you, heard it's heaven for serious comic book collectors. Unfortunately, life got in the way, and I decided to cancel. Hopefully, next year! I thought it was funning 😅 you showed Ali's Elite11 live sale, which i hopped on. I claimed a Superman book from Buzz Bros, but noticed it was no longer there. I assumed your pic must have occurred right after they pulled it from the wall 😂. It's great to hear your rave reviews & enjoyment there. I didn’t realize you're well known with Elite11 & other big sellers until I saw the post on IG of you all at some restaurant! I'm jelly 😉. Finally, your disappointment with convention center employees is real. I've also experienced some of that at large centers. It does leave a bad taste 😮. Keep up liked content, and thanks again. With your "Press" coverage, I felt I was actually there! 🤓

June 5th and #30 graded. It was destined for me. You might ask why?? Before I jumped on, Elite said they'd contribute to whoever claimed the book. I later assumed earlier offers were not accepted. I offered, waited & waited but only heard mumblings. Suddenly, someone loudly said, SM30 is claimed with Elite11s contribution to make the difference. Your friend, Ali seemed completely unaware what just happened because he was showing other wall books 😅 I was super happy to get for my PC. Btw, correct me but i think my purchase was before your top key SM books recommeded vid. Aside from Father's Day for us, June is always a great month for us anyway, right, Morgan?! 🎉🥳 Thanks again for your content.

@@momoonocollects My investment strategy ATM is targeting non-key golden age Detective Comics in a 4.0 or higher (inspired by your 4.0 approach) You can pick up high grade cgc in golden age for "affordable" prices for the golden age. Just picked up a rare 4.5 Detective Comics #159. Beautiful colour strike 😲

Dude reeces is overpriced you’ll make an offer and will be lucky if you can get a book at a reasonably higher fmv price. High grade comics is even worse

I agree, their prices can be high which is why I've only bought from them once. I have found a couple books below fmv, but that's the exception I will say their prices at the con were within the ballpark of fmv, unlike most dealers at most cons Thanks for watching!

I know most people probably don't consider manga to be comic books, I do. But regardless, yes, I realize my comic haul was not substantial Unfortunately since I was only there one day, I didn't have the time I would've liked to dive through short boxes, 95% of my time was looking at wall books and the only book on my list I saw in the condition I want was the wonder woman 6 The con itself was only like 7 hours, and between filming, seeing everything, meeting and talking with so many people, eating, and trying to look through so many comics dealer booths, I ran short on time to deep dive Appreciate the feedback though and I agree I would've liked to have bought more. Next time I'm planning on two days so I'll have more time. Appreciate you watching and for your perspective!
