In this episode Tony is in conversation Roger Dadd a member of the Alderney Air Transport Group (ATTG). Roger tells us about the suggestions submitted to the States of Guernsey to provide an alternative to the current Dornier operation. The ATTG recommended aeroplane is a Tecnam P 2012 which provides nine passenger seats plus a single pilot. Roger explains frequency of services, additional routes (Cherbourg and Jersey) and the ease in which the aircraft could become a medevac plane based on Alderney on a 24/7 basis. Acquisition costs, fares and the existing runway reconstructed with a 23 metre width are also explained.
