In 2021, Anderson Cooper reported on the last concert Tony Bennett would perform at New York's Radio City Music Hall. Lady Gaga was there to help him through it. Bennett died Friday morning at 96.

I grew up with this sort of music from my parents and my grandparents - when Tony Bennett made it cool again in the 90s, it was amazing but it’s AWESOME that he did it again 30 years later. Not gonna lie, I was worrying about him being on stage. I thought "man, Whitney and Winehouse had AWFUL final performances and theirs were self inflected, Bennet didn't have a choice in his condition, how's this gonna go?" soon as he put his arms up, I cried.
