The protests show we didn't believe him, many just ignored this because people don't typically have values instead they choose sides and tribes then set their beliefs and claims in line with them

Pierce, Pierce, Pierce. How come your not drilling Tony about his responsibilities of taking part in killing and displacing millions of Iraqi, Afghan people? I know your not that ignorant of this "guest" of yours commiting crimes against humanity and doesn't pierce your consciousness at least one bit? Yet you passionately drill Andrew Tate on "Mysogany" on your panel as your guest?

It was the "freedom fighters" you were rooting for who caused the vast majority of those deaths, in large part because they knew you'd blame their American/British enemies for their atrocities and thus made every drop of blood they spilled a propaganda victory. "In total, over 150,000 people have been killed and 80 percent of them - more than 122,000 - were civilians, said the IBC. [...] According to a 2010 assessment by John Sloboda, director of Iraq Body Count, U.S. and Coalition forces had killed at least 22,668 insurgents as well as 13,807 civilians in the Iraq War, with the rest of the civilians killed by insurgents, militias, or terrorists."

You may feel better as a pacifist, but As the facts of quantities of people killed, the abundance of killing was by Iraqi Baathists. Conclusion is the US/UK/20 other countries invaded to stop the oppression and murder, and yes they killed to do that.

@@manzion7591 If you are that brave, go and have a war with Russia and north Korea which are killing people in Ukraine and the North Korean dictator is doing far more brutal than the Iraqi Saddam..... It's a lie that Iraqi baathist killed most of the people, 6 in 10 civilians deaths in all these conflicts have been the result of air strikes It's easy to have war with poor countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, but it will take real guts to fight against Russia or north Korea ......... You said that coalition forces which were actually terrorists were there to help people,......... No they were not there to help people, rather to destroy their infrastructure of 90 billion dollars, they were there to steal their natural resources which the USA has been doing for the past many centuries ...... An intimate of about 150 billion dollars of Iraq oil has been stolen since the USA invasion .........

@@alexharrison9340 His crime was his naivety and loyalty to America. He put too much faith in the "special relationship", as the US led him and the UK up the garden path. Blair trusted blindly what the US intelligence agencies were telling him. If you seriously think that Blair was privy to those classified meetings where the CIA discussed intelligence and misinformation, then you're deluded. Blair only knew what America wanted him to know. He's not a murderer. He just aligned us too closely to the US after 9/11.

Right now, if it is Labour or the Tories, the answer is - unequivocally - Labour. But the moment that Starmer turns into Blair, or tries to bring Blair back into the mainstream, that is the time to look elsewhere. Blair lied. He lied utterly. His greatest regret is that he got found out.

Must say, miss his leadership and his style; not from UK (I’m Cdn), what a bright, engaging politico. Don’t agree with what happened in Iraq, but let’s be honest, the decision was really made across the pond. Also, consider Pierce’s comments interesting, re: the dominos that fell in Middle East, due to Iraq war. However, we must remember, that changing one decision does not mean everything else stays the same. That is what makes decisions so difficult, you don’t have all the facts when you make them (you have whatever information is available), let alone the benefit of hindsight. This was one of the most interesting and enjoyable discussions to watch, no binary groups talking over each other ad nauseam. Thank you.

Yes Iraq was a mistake, and he should own up to the error although I doubt if any PM would have turned down a request from the USA to be part of the invading force. Leaving Iraq aside, and i know that's difficult to do as a PM he was exceptionally good and done great things for our country.
