I never paid attention, but the vocals actually only say "à la contrebasse" in French (then "à la batterie", respectively "playing doublebass" and "playing the drums"), I guess the raving crowd at the beginning is from an acoustic live too... Can't believe I have played that game since very young without realizing what the distorted voice means lol.

when you heard a song 20+ years ago, don't remember/know its title, just find out it was only on a specific version (playstation pal) and only through internet archiving soundtracklists were able to check the title and finaly find it ... i suppose i can die a bit happier now ... similar experience with a song from wipeout i only heard while playing a demo (and remembered differently)... songname was afro ride ...

My best guess is that these songs were put in so that the soundtrack had stuff that would've connected better for the European market. Honestly they aren't my type of music and don't really fit with Tony Hawk, but i've heard worse techno and drum and bass stuff.
