TK is one fantastic hurler. I wish I had 1/8 of the skill he has. It is my firm belief that a good hurler will be good in any age or in any company, because they have the ability to adapt.

Long way to go needs at two more all Ireland’s to me and it’s subjective TJ still overall performance past and present is better but current Kelly because age maybe ahead

If we are talking skill and accuracy then Kelly has a shot but unfortunately it takes alot more to be the very best. Kelly is a selfish hurler, he wants all the glory himself, he takes shots from everywhere instead of trusting his team mates. Im sorry but a great hurler will rally his side, will trust his mates, will involve his team mates. Kelly is seriously skillful, accurate and a good hurler but the likes of TJ, Shefflin, Dj, Cian Lynch, Brendan Maher to name a few show more every game to say they are great. Hurling is a team game and someone needs to explain this to Tony Kelly. If he had passed the ball on Saturday at the end then Clare would be getting set for a quarter final but no he wanted the glory again, brought the ball to a harder angle than his team mate had and missed it. Classy hurler, doesn't win enough of his own ball, times his runs off the shoulder to perfection but its a team game and Kelly doesn't understand this.

moronic behavior. in theory S&C guys are prescribing training modules down to the minute/ meter. so a player extending those for himself without science and on the basis of "doing extra" isn't necessarily smart, in fact I'd say selfish & counter productive to the team & S&C guys. in the modern gaa world of "professional approach" it is unprofessional.
