There are two Laws pertaining to the sentencing of nonviolent drug offenders with the same acronym-FSA. One signed by Obama in 2010( Fair Sentencing Act) The other signed in 2018 by Trump (First Step Act). Bush signed the Second Chance Act in 2007 as a rehabilitation and treatment bill. Obama reduced mandatory sentencing. Trump took the same acronym and all the credit. Read all three laws for yourself.

How do you penalize for less coke than you more drugs
@gregoryquattlebaum5435 Жыл бұрын
By the abuse of power and to severely punish Black men is how and why. The powers that be were alarmed about the hundreds of millions of dollars that were in the hands of some many Black men and what they could potentially do with it, like send their children to private schools, send them to colleges like Yale, Harvard, M.I.T., buy farm land, invest in major corporations therefore circulating the drug money into the American economy, send their kids to law school, hire top tier Lawyers, donate to political campaigns, and so forth. They were also angry that so many of their children were smoking and buying crack and very furious that their daughters were getting sexually involved with these black gangsters and dealers in such huge numbers because of crack. They were terrified of any of this happening, so they wrote and passed these outrageous laws and made sure it made crack a much more penalized crime because most black dealers sold it much more than powder and unleashed these laws and penalties on Black men, next they seized everything they could find of value which was another bonanza for the enforcement agencies. They benefitted on all ends the drug trade enriched lawyers, bail bondsmen, car dealerships, jewelry stores, Nite clubs, high-end clothing stores, record labels, hair salons and the prison system. Yeah, they dropped the hammer unfairly got even on a massive scale.
