1:43 "Vittorio will be there right?" "Maybe no!" Jeeze, the flat look on Furio's face. That was blunt, he doesn't give a fuck if Tony wants to see Vittorio. Also, Paulie's comment about Commendatori is incorrect. The term is actually used to describe a Knight in the Italian Order of Chivalry. Not a commander. Then again its Paulie, so its no surprise he's wrong. He once believed some thing flying over Newark was a fucking flying saucer.

Furio also knows something that Tony doesn't know yet: that Vittorio has lost his marbles. So no real point seeing him.

Actually, a Commendatore sits above a Cavaliere (Knight), with a rank equivalent to that of a...Commander. The etymology of the word, is, however, different from that of "Comandante" (which also translates to "Commander" - and I get called names when I say English can be a daft language) - the latter is an office who commands some kind of military unit, the former is (or rather, used to be, in more ancient times) the beneficiary of a commendary, a form of emolument. Which means that Paulie's still wrong, as he often is.

Paulie’s ancestors probably spoke a regional dialect to begin with, combine that with infrequent practice and Paulie’s intellectual gifts, you’re left with... Paulian! The newest Romance language on the peninsula.
