How is everything in Turkey? I must say Turkey did a great job by hunting the killers of Khashoggi. Also how many refugees Turkey accepts. I hope all turks have a great new year and grow long moustaches!

@@plywoodcarjohnson5412 Well, my moustache is kinda patchy :) Refugees are mostly not welcomed but the govt is widely supported, considering 2 parties, around 55%, so it just gets more and more tense day by day. Economy is slowly collapsing, we had a short lived currency crisis but in the middle and long run, inflation and unemployment will rise and the growth rate will decrease, which means stagflation is on the horizon. Long story short: Bad days are past, the worst is yet to come :)

@@ramazanaktas3699 Interesting to hear that. Well it's pretty much "sink or swim" for everyone these days. But I have a theory: Turkey is Very stable. Bcoz nobody can change the system. See? And turkish citizens can go all over the world. And the weather! Over here we might have democracy and equality. All of that which was stated in the French revolution. But the weather? And the taxes?! (Sweden) it's a form of oppression - the kind of taxes we have here. Oh well... Stay strong! And don't worry about stagflation. Sounds more to me like something they should have in the Olympics.

@@plywoodcarjohnson5412 Well, taxes are not as heavy Baltic countries but in these countries, issues like where the money comes from and where does it go are quite clear. Here, there are manipulative changes in data, which is held comprehensively by several economists, and we cannot see where the tax money goes. We just know what ministeries are spending without details. In fact, one of the former ministers were laughing while he was voting for investigation proposal on his and other ministers fraudalent activities. Of course, the proposal was rejected. In modern countries, such proven frauds go in jail. Here, prosecutors go.

@@plywoodcarjohnson5412 Every 10 years we face with an attempt of coup d'etat, always on the edge of an economic crisis, children are forced to go Islamic high schools (this one is a somewhat tricky business), so on and so forth? Stability? Nah. But we still have 4 distinctive seasons, yay!

I wonder what Miles must have thought or felt after fashioning a masterpiece like this one. Atalik played well , but it's like running into that monster in Yeats' poem : Miles becomes an inspired slouching monster.

Hello Mr Mato! Awesome game for the King's Indian Defense here. I love it. Could you also create one on Eliskases E and Gligoric S, Mar del plata 1953? Fans would love it...

Hi Mato, I am a big fan of your fantastic channel. I just have one suggestion please: can you please copy-paste moves into the video description? This way we can easily plug the moves into Fritz for more analysis and saving the game. Thank you!

The King’s Indian defence contains a minefield of traps for the white player.

Hi Mato ! One tipp from me: You shouldn't show a game with so many different playable variations ! That middle game was really complicated so it's hard to understand why the players didn't make some other good moves. Easy games with easy explanations or opening traps would be great ! I wish you a happy new year !

Very nice game. Happy New Year Mato, and congrats for your great site. Just a note: in your final variation, after RxQ+, Be2, isn't it better Bxf8 with 2 extra pieces?, because after Bb5; Bg7+,Kg7; Rc2, in despite of having an advantage, the Bishop is defended, the black only has one extra piece and the Knight doesn't have good moves. Greetings.

After Bxf8, white plays Rxc6. Same material advantage as the variation in the video with one big difference, black has dark square bishop instead of light square bishop and it cannot pressure the pinned white bishop on e2. The black knight is trapped anyway and white will get back the material. Hope it helps!
@wilander1
@wilander1 5 жыл бұрын
Why did white resign? Seems like white would have trapped knight if game continued and then have been up a pawn.
@davidbaigorria5847

White king is blocking rook, so if white king moves to d2 you take bishop with rook and check If you instead move white king closer to knight, you only have f1 square, so black takes white bishop with his own bishop, gives check and king is forced to move...and we reached late game and white only has a rook against bishop, knight and rook. There's no way he's going to win that one x)
