So here's an explanation of Fabi's win for the non chess players: Anna resigned because she wasn't going to be able to stop Fabi's black pawn from getting to the A1 square. Getting the pawn there would allow a "promotion" of the pawn to a Queen which would make it very easy to quickly checkmate her. Tough for her to defend that square because her Bishop was of no help (it only can attack white squares) and her King was the only way to stop it. That's what she meant when she said "I can't stop it, I can't stop it". And then Fabi noted that it became a loss once that pawn made it to the A4 square. Fun game with two people of quality character. Fabi is a great champion and a class act. Thanks Anna!

Where did she go wrong in the game? The power bar was so high for her. Did she have a path to victory and lost it or was she always at a disadvantage?
@joep15515 ай бұрын
@@FilmColossus Even though the evaluation bar was strongly in her favor, she never realistically had a chance. The only reason she had the advantage is because Fabi chose to play a poor opening (the cow.) Anna just doesn't have the skill to capitalize on the big advantage (that was gifted to her) against a player of Fabi's caliber. Now if Magnus would of jumped in while she had the big advantage, Fabi never would have recovered.
