Tony Robinson's Tour Of Duty | E9 | Dunedin

Picturesque Dunedin, with its fascinating war history, is a must-see on Tony’s Tour of Duty. This charming city is home to stories of WW1 that were often quite scandalous! Tony ventures to the famous Otago University to learn about the plastic surgeon who created a radical breakthrough for his patients, and has a chat with the cheeky nieces of a soldier who was armed with a paintbrush, not a gun. The Dunedin Roadshow kicks off in an historic setting with a grand musical entrance as the Dunedin locals share touching stories of their ancestors, the lost pay book and a violin that was carried and played through Gallipoli.

Well 9 years after this filming (2014), I find myself in the show! My late husband would have been 90ys old today, and there he is on the screen next to me. He was a NZ army veteran himself. We took along some inherited family items including the great coat of Private William SOUTTER who departed for the Boer war on SS “Kent”, 12 March 1902.

I had no idea this was new content from Sir Tony I'm beside myself with excitement. From baldrick to today I've watched them all and I cannot say that of any other anyone. It's like I grew up with and along with Sir Tony lol my younger days baldrick now growing the intelligence because of his skills presenting etc. Thank you sir

just love the way Tony, pardon me, Sir Tony interacts with adults children animals, i guess he's a bit like me short lefthanded ( if i noticed you writing right ) please make more of these great "shows" i learn alot keep on going, my respect to every ehhh uhh adult show ;) you make well you know what i mean
