I loved the IDEA of BattleBowl, but they needed a Royal Rumble-style backstage plan going into it. I've always been a huge fan of the traditional Survivor Series, too. Anything that teams up people you wouldn't normally have a reason to see teamed up. Just make the whole BattleBowl shorter as a tournament (eight teams max) and have something worthwhile as a winning prize. Especially now, WWE NEEDS something to revitalize that entire division.

It had potential. With a little bit of tweaking (seven Lethal Lottery matches; the BattleBowl being a 15-man Royal Rumble, with the Wild Card being the randomly drawn 15th man,) it could be a mainstay for WCW.

@@mcgannahanskyjellyfetti6854Yeah, but that wasn't part of BattleBowl. BattleBowl was straight up garbage.

There have been worse than Battle Bowl. What drew me in were the odd team pairings. Hawk & Rip Rogers managed to get over.

Battlebowl would actually be a great concept for RAW or Dynamite today. As a pay-per-view idea, it wasn't much good. But the biggest thing right now is CONTENT and filling hours and hours and hours of time. You could stretch a 2024 Battlebowl out for weeks and weeks and weeks to create that content.

Are you trying to tell me that Ric Flair's oldest daughter doesn't want to spend a few hours watching a dead guy hit on her current Step-Mom? The hell you say!

I thought BattleBowl was a good idea but the era it was used was the problem just imagine if WCW used this in anywhere from 97-99 and the drawing for the next match is teams hollywood hogan and his partner lex luger vs Sting and his partner kevin nash

Bankrupt Bischoff tried to use it again at Slamboree 1996. It drew a horrible 0.44 (Uncensored before did a 0.70 so that was quite the drop) Battlebowl meanwhile became the lowest drawing PPV (0.27) in WCW History and would remain that until Starrcade 1999 NOBODY liked the Lethal Lottery back then.

This entire series had so much potential. After Bruce I seriously thought getting Tony would give us the same thing but about wcw… How wrong my was I….. It’s just a commercial for chewable viagra and penis enlargements…… So very dissapointed, it could’ve and should’ve been so much more…..

He's spoken numerous times about his love of WCW, he loved the Bischoff era as well as Russo stuff. He hated the Battle Bowl, the Doomsday Cage, basically everything the fans hated as well.

Battlebowl wasn't good. But I liked it better than World War 3.
