You act like creating a masterpiece with an almost 2 decade build up is easy to do, like you can just do it at will. You can’t just recreate greatness. The world has to be primed for it, and you need a team as inspired to keep recreating a great storyline that doesn’t seem repetitive. You act like Marvel stopped making quality by choice lol at the end of the day maybe they just ran out of ideas. I thought endgame was a solid ending to a solid ride, I don’t hold anything against them for putting out stuff that seems “less” than what they’ve already put out. Yeah we’re all waiting on the next great thing, but what have given was excellent. I’m tired of people making it sound like it’s easy to follow up what they did lol you can’t just recreate greatness.

They didn't know what to do with Tony in the subsequent movies, how to show that's he's partially reformed, give him a new arc, while still keeping him the wisecracking guy from the first movie. The smart thing, in hindsight, would have been to focus in on a survivor's complex that Tony has, a desperate drive to "not waste his life". That's what's driving him in this first movie, and it's never really explored afterwards. Never felt like he got a chance to hit rock bottom of total disregard for his own safety, while Pepper and the others plead with him to stop the savior act and realize he's only one man, he can't solve everything.
@thestarkknightreturns6 ай бұрын
@@ndalum75Exactly, the movies didn't do justice to his "Atlas complex" from the comics: he thinks he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and he keeps reinventing himself and crossing lines to ensure the world doesn't go to hell. Sure, they touched upon this in Iron Man 3 and Avengers 2, but they didn't progress it into a cohesive story. They should have had an "Armor Wars" type of story where he globetrots the planet looking for stolen tech.
