Yeah a guy in the middle of a conversation getting interrupted by people asking him to sign things that'll end up for sale on the internet saying he wants some space is basically the worst thing I've ever seen. Who does he think he is, a human being or something?
@guysumpthin2974
@guysumpthin2974 Жыл бұрын
No, the worst thing: driving a track champion off the track (that you cant beat clean) , knowing he’ll be confronting you , powersliding into the guy standing on the track (like you often do) (but remember you started it with a cheapshot) , killing him with the powerslide , saying “that’s racing” , being in the booth , bitching at broke fans that bought tickets and are somehow exited to see you after murdering a faster driver on a dirt track . Thats the worst thing/person ever ,,

yeah and you and Tony need to realize that fan bought a ticket, came and watched him race every lap of that race clapping and cheering him on, and then went and spent money at his merch stand on a ridiculously overpriced Tony Stewert hat, hoping he'll appreciate their support enough to take 2 seconds to scribble a squiggly line across the bill... but no... not Tony... He was my favorite driver... but even i hated his attitude. He was the most miserable millionaire I've ever met in my life. And it's always been over nothing. If that guy would have just stood his ground and called him an a$$hole... he would've signed it and made a snide remark... but he would've gotten his autograph. But i will say that if they called Tony out for being a jerk, he wouldn't have let them walk off without a sincere apology and he would've gave them something 10x cooler than a signed hat. His temper is just faster than his manners are...

One year at the SEMA show in Vegas Tony came in to do a meet and greet and sign autographs. He was gracious to all. I was there with my older brother (who got me in). I had a #20 Home Depot diecast that Zippy had signed the roof of earlier in the day. I wanted to have Tony sign the hood and as I was about to ask him he took a white marker and signed the windshield. That was an even better look! One thing I also remember was that everyone was told due to the long line only one item per person would be signed. A man in front of us brought a whole trove of collectibles and when he reached the front, Tony stuck to his guns and told the guy he had to pick one to make it fair for everyone else in line. He wasn't in the wrong in this video, this was not the time for a fan to be asking for an autograph. Tony is a no BS kind of guy which is why I always rooted for him.

I'm wondering if his "people" will eventually make you take this video down as this is the probably the worst I've seen actually make it to You Tube (I've seen him do worse in person). His fans tend to excuse his behavior because of his talent. He seems to have forgotten that without his talent, no one would care who is he or what he does. I've long thought that Kurt Busch is a nice guy disguised as a jerk but Tony Stewart is a jerk disguised as a nice guy.

Looking at his fire suit, I would say this is at a sprint car race, maybe Knoxville? As a former dirt racer, our sport was made great by the approachable nature of the drivers. I've had people walk up to the back door of my hauler and ask for an autograph. I would always take the time to sign one because I was living a dream that not everyone is blessed enough to do. I have seen Scott Bloomquist act the same way. Driver like this need to get off their high horses and remember without the people in the stands, they don't have a job.

I'll tell you this, this was bad timing by everyone. Dudes trying to talk to another driver. Just last year I went to an autograph signing Tony was doing at an Ollie's grand opening in Texas. Sadly I didn't have any Tony merchandise with me for him to sign. What I did have though was my dirt kart helmet. When I pulled that out and told Tony how he was my racing hero and how I am racing dirt karts like he did his eyes lit up and he smiled. A genuine smile too. I watched with other people before me and you could tell it was a going through the motions situation but because I brought a helmet that had 0 affiliation with him and I showed him that I was a real fan he definitely took more interest in what I had to say. Sadly there was a rush to get through the lines so I couldn't stay and talk like I wanted to. But man, that was an awesome experience. A few days later I went to the NHRA drag races he was at and I got him to sign my copy of his autobiography. His dad Nelson also signed it. He was obviously busy but he recognized me and I got to talk to him a little more. And you could see he was interested in what I was talking to him about. He was looking me dead in the eyes the whole time with a genuine smile on his face. So at the autograph signing at Ollie's when I met him I first shook his hand. Don't know how many people do that but I did. At the end of our short conversation at the NHRA races Tony reached out and shook my hand. If this long ass story doesn't tell you a little about the type of guy Tony is, I don't know what will.

20 years of having people come up to him and interrupting him while he's doing something and he's still supposed to be nice? He was talking and all of these people were trying to take advantage of being near him to get an autograph and whatever else instead of going to signing that is specifically set up for people to get autographs., that gets annoying after so long. Hell at 43 or so, I'd probably be just as tired of it as he is, if not more. When people disrespect your boundaries and take advantage of situations for their own gain, they don't deserve respect. That's not being an asshole, that's being honest.

He's talking things over with his fellow drivers. Tracks aren't obligated to allow the fans to get up close to the drivers. It's a priviledge and when it's business they talk business. I'd be pissed too if I was in that situation.

He’s trying to have a conversation and people are interrupting but still he needs to calm down with his tone and be a little nicer to his fans bc imagine there was a kid asking for an autograph and he said that, then the kid will feel very sad.It’s horrible to see people are raised to react like this.

I don't think you guys truly understand what its like to be an athlete. Tony owes you nothing. You didn't make him. To add to your assumption of his attitude, the guy was obviously heckling him and drunk just like 60% of the fans after a race of any kind. It wouldn't surprise me if you have a few teeth missing as well

Every can keep whining and crying about this video all they want. He just did a race and wanted to talk about it with a fellow driver, maybe the fan could of waited until he was done to ask for an autograph and not interrupt him during a conversation. Thats the one thing that makes really mad is when someone interrupts my conversation

This is a joke. All athletes can be assholes, trust me. I couldn't get an autograph from "Mr. Nice Guy" Carl Edwards. All famous people-athletes or not-can get sick of getting asked for autographs at every turn. Sometimes they just don't wanna sign them. Especially in a huge crowd like he's in here.

Champions are made in moments like these. When the masses aren't watching and "stars" come face to face with their fans in more intimate moments like these. Tony Stewart is a lot of things. A smartass hot headed clown on and sometimes off the racetrack, an overly aggressive and sometimes dirty racer, and a comedian only worthy of putting on shows at the Outhouse. Just because an entity crowns you a champion doesn't mean you really are one. A champion in the eyes of the masses is not the same thing as a champion in their hearts.

Time and place. Lol..I learned this the hard way when i was 10 years old. We went to see the band Saliva play. Josey Scott overdosed on cocaine that night and had to be rushed to the ER in Jefferson City MO. As he was being stretchered out of the venue to the ambulance, i was at his side begging for an autograph. Security was FURIOUS 🤣 😆 stupid kids lol

So its considered treating fans like trash for saying no after he's rudly interrupted in the middle of a conversation with another driver...if I were him and had a long night and just got out of a hot ass race car and just trying to talk to a fellow driver while being crowded with media and fans I'd get irritated too. There's just some days or nights we're drivers ain't having it with fans and media. We're all humans and have emotions and breaking points. Everyone has different levels of tolerances with different things. Who ever made and captioned this video must be inconsiderate and has no open minded perception to when it comes to other people.

I don't blame Tony at all. He was just having a friendly conversation and the fans are trying to rudely shove stuff in his face to get a hi or an autograph. Because they're too lazy to get pay a ticket to go to his autograph session. Hell, if they got his autograph, they'd sell it on Craigslist or eBay because they're too lazy to get a real job. So stop treating him like shit and can't give him space, then he'll treat us better. PERIOD.
