1. Experience has made her more cold to deaths. 2. She knew Gloria was lying to her. 3. She didn't think she was personally responsible for her death.

@@strollic5162 1.Unlikely since she is always very emotional about anyhing else 2. So what? 3.That is true also for the one she is crying about now

@@tonygordon7571 1. Watch the episode when Tony finds out from Melfi that Gloria commited suicide. She seems cold there, the more you experience something the less of an effect it has. 2. So what? Melfi can only help someone so much, if her patient keeps doing things wrong what can Melfi do? 3. Melfi felt she was responsible because she wasn't there for the patient when they needed her. Gloria managed to see Melfi when she needed to, but she was a troubled soul. Again, watch the epsiode, Melfi said herself, "...she slipped through everyone's grasp".

She seems to have a lot of patients commit suicide!

My hunch is that Gloria's sessions were non-stop I wanna kill myself, kill myself, moan, moan. There's only so much BS even a therapist can take before they stop giving a s$$$. Remember how Gloria *wanted* Tony to kill her? Remember how he had to get Patsy to specifically threaten that the last thing she'd see would be his face, *not* Tony's? Dying dramatically was her favourite subject.

Dr. Melfi is the only person in the series to say "fuck you" to Tony and still live.
@IBeMelissa Жыл бұрын
Because Tony kept having this delusion that he could get Melfi to submit to him. I think if this was any other therapist who talked in a negative way about his mother and himself, Tony would have killed them a long time ago. The only thing that saved Melfi was because Tony wanted her and he enjoyed the 'playing hard to get' scenario with her.
