If he would pivot his hips before he steps he would only have to step once. The back foot either roots for rear hand power or it floats while the front hand gains a kinetic link to power the front hand. Thd backfoot is either an anchor or a rudder. Two stepping, reverses the kinetic links from the fed3t to the hands, which weakens hand strikes.

Very few people punch and step at the same time. You have to train, assuming they're going to retract the fist.

Why are on they on the matt with shoes on. That just looks like poor hygiene and poor gym etiquette.I honestly don't know if I would want to train with this guy. First, it dosent seem like he spends alot of time teaching others how to punch and kick properly, at least not in these videos. Second, It looks like he enjoys tagging people a little too much and a little too hard while demonstrating his technique.Just my observation though.

U know there are shoes like boxing shoes, wrestling shoes, savate shoes that are made for the mat just saying Plus wing chun is a shoe art cause it's meant for self defense
@ropongi10082 жыл бұрын
@@diablormma Yes, I know that, as a matter of fact, I own a pair of wrestling shoes, they protect my sprained toes while I'm training, but clearly, these guys are just wearing street shoes/tennis shoes/sneakers etc.....on a wrestling mat, and that's very disprespectfull to other people who might also train at that facility. I don't care what back ground or what Martail Art you train in, most people know that most Martail Arts have basic ediqet that require you to take your shoes off before stepping on to the mat, and that rule of ediqet is pretty universal, most people are aware of it. BTW, boxing shoes were not made to wear on a wrestling mat, they were made to wear in a boxing ring (I don't know about Savate shoes though), but wrestling shoes actually WERE made to wear on a wrestling mat, and again, these guys just had regular street shoes on.
