@B G. Benjamin sounds like he recommended a book that may have been written by Dutch author named “Bessel Van Der Holk”. Anti male-circumcision activists agree with Van Der Holk when he says that a man’s body can remember violence inflicted on us in our infancy. I was just curious to know if Benjamin was referring to the same book written by Van Der Holk.

Really dumb comment. Comparing trauma doesn't make the trauma go away. If you living in an environment where you can be shot and killed for little stuff, how you not gonna have trauma. Those kids can't be kids in certain hoods. Daddy ain't around, and Mama's never home because she's working to put a roof on the table. Stop disrespecting people's upbringing.

@Terrance Ali what about the kids who die every day, whether it's cancer or shootings, etc. Isn't living better than death?? Now you see how easily I can 1 up you. And that's why you shouldn't compare no one else's trauma. Also, what about Jesus. Isn't bearing the sins of the whole earth superior to any suffering that men experience??

@@magneticqubzian6902 no you are trying to say being from the hood lead him to being successful. I’m saying his ability to unlearn the bs that’s taught in the hood is what made him successful. Being from the hood literally makes it harder to be successful because you develop a ghetto mentality that is counterproductive to success. Hood mentality makes you ignorant. Overcoming it makes you successful. Had he grown up in a decent neighborhood he’d be successful and without having to unlearn a ghetto mentality first. So he’d have an easier path to success had he not be born in the hood.
