At 2:21, the third hand, not really necessary to open 2 clubs. The problem is that it will be pretty hard to show both your suits. If you instead open 1 spade, there is virtually zero chance of it being passed out. If your partner has nothing, then opponents have all the clubs and will bid.

If the opener's 2C bid shows 23+ points, why do we need 8+ points for a positive game force response. Would 5+ points not suffice?

@@varunjha7472 you could have a lower limit but 8+ points is what is considered standard. In fact a positive response to a two club opener should alert both players that you may be headed for a slam.
