This tutorial details instructions for the v-stitch double crochet stitch. Easy enough for the beginning crocheter and has a wide application. Use for blankets, scarves with one color or multi colors -- a very versatile stitch!

Great video thank you I am just starting another blanket for my other grandson. Turned out great I improvised as I went among, ended up doing lengthwise instead of widthwise and started running out of red so did I row on each side. Love how it turned out . Trying to attach pic. Now onto the next one.

Thanks so easy I’m doing a blanket for my newborn granddaughter. How much chain should I do for baby blanket? I love the Where are you explain everything you are a great teacher
@nanascraftyhome4 жыл бұрын
So glad you found the video helpful! The standard crib size baby blanket is 45" wide x 60" long - however that is just a guide. Your beginning chain will depend upon what size yarn and hook size you use as well to get to the 45" (or size desired). Your beginning ch will need to be in multiples of 3 + 6 for the foundation ch. So just make sure when you have the size achieved in width with your ch that the number of chains will be multiples of 3 + 6 and you will be good to go! Hope that helps! 😊❤️

So sorry - this was one of my earliest tutorials before I started doing photo/written tutorials to correspond to the video. However, you can check out the written pattern for the Hearts Aflutter Scarf here which is the same stitch: nanascraftyhome.com/hearts-aflutter-scarf-free-crochet-pattern/. I hope it helps!

Hi Tonya, I want to make this stitch in squares. Do you make two rows for each colour?
@nanascraftyhome Жыл бұрын
Yes - I do two rows for each color, drop and then pull in the second color which means fewer ends to weave in. I hope that helps! 💕🌸

Hi Tonya! Would you get the same effect if you use 2 strands of yarn, or would it be recommended to only use 1?
@nanascraftyhome4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely that should be fine! I would recommend trying out a small swatch to begin with to make sure you like how it looks before starting a large project - that way you can be sure you will be happy with your finished project. Happy crocheting! 😊

Love the video- really pretty! One question: at the end of the row, do you dc in the stitch or the chain space? I can’t tell :(
@nanascraftyhome4 жыл бұрын
So sorry that was unclear for you in the video - you are making a dc in the top of the turning ch 3 from the previous row. I hope that helps! ❤️😊
