Thanks Tony, we've been doing the same, I use all our cardboard from deliveries to line the compost heaps and lay down on the unused areas of the plot over winter ! Poly tune is looking great !

Love cardboard and save all my Amazon boxes for just this reason. Break them down and store them in a large plastic bin for use whenever. Usually cover with mulch or soil. Cardboard enriches the soil by drawing worms as it decays. Yes, it has to be replaced, but it’s free!!! It works and is not too difficult to install. Use a box cutter to size the cardboard for various spaces. To see no weeds is an absolute joy.

I think you should remove the staples Tony, when the cardboard has rotted the staples will be left in your beds, and any plastic tape that's not been removed

Thanks for the video Tony, garden still looking good, in fact it's getting better! I've never grown elephant garlic but I've got a few bulbs to split and plant. Unfortunately, my soil is really, really wet at the minute so I'm going to plant each clove in a 6" pot and wait till Spring.

If your beds aren't ready, you can always plant garlic cloves (and onion sets) in modules/pots and put then in a polytunnel for several weeks, then plant out after they sprouted and weeds are less of a problem. I'm surprised you haven't constructed some demountable staging in your tunnel for bringing stuff on for planting outside, then after planting them out, removing the slats so the likes of tomatoes can be planted in the tunnel.

that is so cool such a lovely thing to do, always wanted an e-bike being disabled it bee nice to get around but alas everything expensive on this we island, 3 busses a day too but alas it is what it is.
