She sounds really good Jak! Really clear guide - if I ever decide to make the jump to sound I'll be using this as a resource for sure!

Thanks mate! I appreciate that! It's the only sound loco I've got, but think I may have to get some more eventually as this has really impressed me so far!

Hi Tony Good video, well done for getting it all to fit ! I have a Legomanbiffo sound V4 chip in my Colas 37 and used the iphone plus speaker, which I managed to fit under all the wires ahead of the PCB. With some careful packing I got away without having to do any "surgery" inside the bodyshell. Keep up the good work, shame I didn't see you at Warley. Regards Nigel at West Hatton Model Railway

Hi Nigel, thanks for your comment! Thanks, it was pretty tight and I was worried at one point that it wouldn't fit haha! It would've been great if I could've avoided sacrificing some of the plastic inside, but I'm happy with the overall result! Thanks again!

Enjoyed your video. Where did you get your decoder and what is the product code?

Very nice "how to" video Tony, very well presented. Can I offer a tiny bit of advice? Your un-shielded soldered wire you soldered to the PCB try and make them shorter, longer un-shielded wire can create a short if crossed over by accident. I hope you don't mind me mentioning it..Simon

Hi Simon, that's a very valid point. Of course I don't mind you pointing it out! Tbh, I should've known better haha!

Hi Tony Nicely done. I'm quite interested in this decoder as it has the Derby Lightweight on it and the 37 certainly sounds okay when put through the Zimo speaker. I've been using the wires from an old phone extension to wire up my speakers as they are very thin and is easy to manipulate when putting the bodies back on. Will you be trying the 47 out for sound too? Regards Paul

Hi Paul, thanks for your comment! I've been impressed with it so far, and i've only explored it as much as you've seen in the video, so i'm sure there's still a lot more on there that I've yet to try out! I will do another video in detail on the decoder itself I think, this video was more about the 'how to install it' side of things!

It would be great to see/hear the other sound options on the chip and the functions available for each loco. I'm a big fan of sound but not the prices particularly when in most cases you buy them unheard and pray it sounds half decent once installed. If I'm right this chip has been on the market for a year or two but not many people if any have gone through the engines in detail. Cheers Paul
