Layout Update | Building A Model Railway

Hello and welcome back to Tony Docks Station! In this video I’m giving you a layout update this week. First of all, the baseboards have been treated and sealed. I then talk through how I’ve started planning the track positioning. I then show that I’ve started laying cork and the branch line. Lastly I show you a new tool I’ve used to assist with layout points.

Your making some solid progress. It's all looking very good. Really like bullhead rail and I would have used it on my layout but the cost would have been astronomical. That point motor alignment tool is a really beaut piece of kit. Makes it all much simpler. Keep up the great progress, Clint

Thank you! I do really like the bullhead rail too. But I am glad I’ve only got a small section of it. It’s definitely not the easiest to use! And yes, that point motor tool is awesome in my opinion!

Thank you! It’s about 3%. In terms of the actual angle, I don’t know. I haven’t measured the angle in degrees I’m afraid!

it's not your computer he needs to a mic to speak into are be closer to his camera when recording.

Yeah, you are right. I only film on my iPhone so the audio can be a bit temperamental! I’ll try and invest in a mic for future videos!
