So I preordered the mighty and timeless voice, Robin McAuley's latest/ newest album, Standing On The Edge, and received it yesterday. It has been getting plenty of play, esp. in my car with the windows down and the moonroof open, blasting it when no one else is in the car. Today, I was able to take a look at the album liner, and in the fouth sentence of appreciation from Robin, it says "I had no idea where or how to begin until Tony Franklin ( The Fretless Monster ) pointed me to the great writing skills of Tommy Denander." Tony you are a true friend to Robin and so many others, a true professional, snd just a great guy it seems. The album sounds fantastic. I just have to give the lighter stuff some time as it's not the same blasting that in the car. ;-) Pass it on to Robin I am loving this album, and am looking forward to seeing him tour in my neck of the woods again, whether it is with Michael, you, or anyone else. I will just say this, I thought Tommy Denander sounded familiar, so I looked him up. Amazing guitarist as well. A love this performance with him and band supporting Jimi Jameson, at FireFest 2011. They are rocking! kzbin.info/www/bejne/apuphGmcqLp1gck

I can hear the air your cabinets are pushing in your tone. So responsive and cuts like a knife! Stephen’s groove is big dog epic!

@Todd's Tropicals yeah I pretty much stopped Facebook myself. Still rocking the Warwick. Added a couple of fretless Ibanez, Sire and actually got a Tony Franklin fretless Precision too.

Don’t laugh but I was listening to Gloria by Laura Brannigan and really digging the bass riffs!! Was wondering if you might be able to do a vid on them or is it outside of your comfort zone???!!!
@FretlessMonster3 жыл бұрын
Not outside my comfort zone but it’s one of those bass lines that sounds great with the song but not very interesting by itself. 🤷♂️👍🏻

Fretless and Shoeless! not a bad jam, I would have chosen a better guitar than that hollow body personally...
@FretlessMonster3 жыл бұрын
Fretted bass though. And shoes. 🤷♂️🤩 Just saying.

It was his signature guitar back then, it's really nice to play with quite unusual specs.
