I just started using Logic and your tutorials are a life saver. You're the only person on YT that actually explains things thoroughly for people who aren't necessarily familiar with all the shortcuts and keystrokes. It's really appreciated because just getting comfortable with Logic is a challenge in itself! Thanks for all these great videos.

@@itstonyholiday One more thing on my wishlist: sampling directly into Logic's quick sampler... Do you know if there's any possibility? Now I use Audio Hijack to sample from Y****be and Spo***y. Then, I import the samples into Logic. I was happy to see the record button in quick sampler, but it doesn't seem to sample outside of Logic, does it?
@itstonyholiday
@itstonyholiday 3 жыл бұрын
@@frans9690 I haven't tried but I'm willing to bet that it probably doesn't. Apple doesn't natively allow sound recording from the internals anyways, you need to get a 3rd party driver. The only thing I could think of that would be a stretch would be to get the 3rd party driver, set your Logic ins and outs to be the Mac internal speakers, set the channel in Logic to said input, then record from the Q-sampler. If that's the case, you're probably better off doing the way you already you it.

@itstonyholiday

@@LuckyFilms You can extend the length of your sample inside the quick sample more or less as well. This sounds like you need to make the original sample fit the 4-8 bars first and then put it in the Q-sampler.

@@itstonyholiday You're a really fine guy! Could you please answer me a question, or answer the Question in your next Sampling Video? When I Chop my Samples (Vox Samples for Example) the Samples Change the Key. How Can I Add Melodies to a Sample? And how do I find the Key of the Chopped Sample?
@itstonyholiday
@itstonyholiday 3 жыл бұрын
@@raffaerste When using the Q-sampler the sample you drag in shouldn't change the pitch of the sample if you're in chopped mode. Only if you mess with the pitch dial it will change the pitch. Not sure what you mean by add melodies to a sample... can you elaborate?
@raffaerste
@raffaerste 3 жыл бұрын
@@itstonyholiday Yes that's what I mean. Like you did at 08:56. You pitched a few semi-tones. Does this change the Key of the Sample? And with melodies I mean: For example you have Sampled some Vocal Chops, or an old Song & Speed it up. How Can you Add some Chords or Melody by Playing an Komplete Kontrol VST Instrument to the Sample? When it comes to sampling, and I want to create a melody with my VST'S I get stucked. I never get to find a melody that fits.
@itstonyholiday
@itstonyholiday 3 жыл бұрын
@@raffaerste Yes, exactly that will change the key. As for adding melodies, it's about finding the key and then playing chords or melodies underneath the vox that are in that key. It's a lot of work tbh, but can be cool

My guy, thank you so much! You’ve been showing love for awhile, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. I always try to explain things in the same way that I understood them when I figured it out, so I’m happy that other people find the same concepts helpful. Beat tag, my friend came over and I got her to say a bunch of random shit for like a half hour. Then compressed, verb, delay, and mess with it til it sounds almost fake. Crazy8 thank you again for all the love ✊ you a real one
