The analysis is really great. I appreciate how you gave three different examples of 808 patterns for a song, and how you specifically explained how to match the notes to the melody. It was really easy to follow along and I learned a lot 👌🏼

@@noahelias-guy5321 That was the goal! It's different every time, and over time I found myself sticking to one type of pattern, almost like it becomes a signature. But it's good to have all the tools in the back pocket!

If the 808 sample is a C note but your song is in F do you have to re pitch the 808 before you use it?
@itstonyholiday Жыл бұрын
No. You just need to play the notes that are in the key of F. Thanks for watching!

Hey Tony hope u well, how can I detect the key of a loop or sample in Logic Pro like other daws. Example, I load up a loop onto the playlist in logic, lay down some drums but now comes the 808 and the 808 needs to be in the right keys as the loop or sample bass line to match?
@johnblacktheproducer3 жыл бұрын
the root notes I meant
@itstonyholiday3 жыл бұрын
Hey John, then best way to learn it is to train your ear to find the "1" or as you said the "root" note of the scale. Try starting like I did in this video with just the bass notes of each chord and then changing it up a little bit as you go. Thanks for watching!
