Tony mate, I really do appreciate your efforts and as someone who built a new house 3 years ago and started from scratch again with a new workshop and I'm currently starting a home booth and setup, I thank you for your time. I might even throw my own video up for you as I go along to show you my progress. My dad has been an old school French polisher for 50 years, hence my interest in spraying.

Hey Tony, I can''t tell you how many time I've watch this video... This paint job is superb. thanks for this. I am a novice in painting and i was wondering if you can do a video on how to do a ghost image on a car.

I don't know if you understood what I was saying buy I wanted to know the steps on painting a ghost image on a car. The image or pattern can be seen from a certain angle and not be seen from another angle.

That colour is sweet, just a question about the booth as I’d like to get either one of these or a cheaper Chinese one, how long does the overspray take to clear out?? And are they hard to clean up before packing away. Also, what’s the weight on these, is it a 2 person job to move them around,setup and pull down?? Cheers, keep up the great work

Nice job tony , really enjoy watching your work . You have a good way of explaining things. I m upgrading from my flg , just wondered which is best choice between gti pro or iwata , seem as you use both . Thanks , your opinion is very much appreciated

This idea for a spray booth is brilliant. I've made a lot if homemade booths through the years but the convenience of this is great. What's the retail on this and how often do u need to change filters?
@TonysRefinishingTV7 жыл бұрын
filter wise it really depends on the workflow i suppose and cant honestly say on that but the filters do last well, reatil is around 5k in the uk but varies depending on country i think

Lovely job mate, very interested in that activated thinner as all my jobs are air dry, can I use it with Maxmeyer ms clear? Also have you got any footage of how to paper mask door and window apertures? I've got my first couple of full car projects coming up. Keep up the great vids.
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
+Barry Gallagher hi Barry the masking yes I can definitely get a video made on the next job I mask like that for you that's no problem at all , personally I wouldn't use it for ms clear as I think there chance of it shrinking back but I did use it on a job with hs clear the other day and it cured rock hard overnight was very impressed with it for that no shrink no gloss loss or anything
@brendanw3558 жыл бұрын
Another great vid Tony really enjoyed it. How is the noise level of the booth is it very noisy at full fan? Noisy enough to annoy your neighbours if you set one up for weekend work or not to bad? Sorry if you have answered this previously. Cheers
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
hi brendan if im honest its not that loud to be fair and no matter what setting the fans are on they dont really get louder tbh, and id say its no louder than having a normal booth running , noise level wise basically its the same level as like a bouncy castle as the blower that inflates the framework is the same type and spec , hope this helps a little

nice job pal. 1st coat you can see it going on wet. I've got Gti pro for clear thinking of getting a new gun. I'm really tempted with pro lite. what gun wud you recommend considering I've used the Gti for almost 10 years
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
+jim 678 my favourite clear gun would be the prolite with the t110 air cap tbh that for me with a decent grade clear really does perform effortlessly
@jim-ft3iw8 жыл бұрын
+Tonys_Refinishing have you tried the t20 air cap and if you have what do you think?
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
+jim 678 il be honest mate I never got round to using it with the te20
@jim-ft3iw8 жыл бұрын
+Tonys_Refinishing I've just watched ur vid on the pro lite. the job looks mint. I've only just started experimenting with air caps find it expensive to buy them and then find out its crap. bur after watching ur I think I'm going to go for a pro lite t110. Cheers bud. great voids I know how hard it is just doing a job never mind making a video at same time so appreciated.
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
+jim 678 yeah the t110 I just hit it off with instantly for clear was brilliant as so easy to replicate factory or glass finish , there's a few vids using it and definitely my most preferred clear gun by far fella , and happy they have helped mate that's what makes it all worth while in making them so Thankyou for the feedback too

Banging job mate,when you did the bonnet did you stand it up to base? I find it goes mottley when sat down. Thumbs up
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
hi daz no i left it lay down for base as i dont have a stand yet that u could stand it up on, when laying the base down during the medium wet coats yes you will get abit of mottle but as soon as you put your drop / effect coats on to even the metallic / pearls in a colour really any mottle should go and you shouldnt have a problem

With you letting it air dry when do you remove the masking tape, thanks
@TonysRefinishingTV5 жыл бұрын
That’s depending on the tape where it is mate tbh , if the tales round a moulding or something where there’s a risk it would lift the clear if it fully dried then I take it off as soon as it’s flashed off or if it’s fineline etc , anything else will stay in till I’ve polished it most times
@paullynch19385 жыл бұрын

@Tonys_Refinishing sorry to ask lots of q's but really interested in your videos :) You clear coated this escort RS in Colomix,is it better than Max Meyer 0200 for overall gloss level and quality or is the Max Meyer a better product?
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
+SP330Y the max Meyer 0200 is a higher quality clear compared to the colomix but also has double the price tag , for this particular job the budget just wasn't there for the more expensive clear but finished and polished this looks just as good gloss level wise there is no difference
@SP330Y8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for reply Tony,Ive contacted Chris at spray guns direct about getting an order together. In your experience would you say the Quartz Kristal clear is better than the Max Meyer 0200 OR do I have to buy Quartz Liquid glass to beat Max Meyer quality?
@TonysRefinishingTV8 жыл бұрын
+SP330Y liquid glass by far in my opinion
