2 wooden V blocks clamped to the table... Sit that armature on em and spin with drill You can carefully cut a new face on that commutator freehand with a wood chisel... Always clean between the segments afterwards... Good video ☹️🇬🇧🏴

I have an extra 48v CC that came on my 2010 Precedent. I switched mine over to a Silver Wolf 12000w AC motor and controller and a 48v 105ah lithium battery. It ran 14 mph before with the factory stuff and now it runs 34-35 mph. I don't need the factory motor and controller anymore but it looks like you're rolling again.

I plan on doing some big upgrades this year. I am going to get it solid, then add new Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. I may lift it after that!

When I tear a motor or generator/alternator apart, I take a screwdriver and scratch a line across the main housing and both end plates so when reassembling you line up these scratches.
@TonysTractorAdventure9 ай бұрын
definitely a good idea, but this motor is different than a other. One end will only go one way, an the other end doesn't really matter. Still it is a good practice.

Liked your video , but I got to correct your pronunciation a commuter rides to work , a commutator is on the end of the armature where the winding ends are soldered to the bars .
