Tony, this is just fantastic! Thank you for being in the key of C, to make it easy on us, and also picking a tune that has a manageable chord progression, a standard that everybody knows and is easy to get your mind around. Many jazz teachers on youtube pick a tune like Dahoud in the key of Db or something, and they expect us to grasp it and think it's somehow going to provide a stepping stone to a greater swingy jazz level. Naw just kidding, but seriously, they'll pick a standard like All the Things you Are, or Body and Soul with it's modulation, because they think they need to start us out on something sophisticated. Sorry, that doesn't help. A tutorial like this one helps tremendously! You make it fun and very understandable, and your love of the music and your enthusiasm shows through and it is contagious. Thank you so much!

Sir, why do you play quarter notes as though they’re punctuated with an eighth?
