The higher end Kawai EP sounds and editability seem better despite the lack of standalone software editing. You can still set your own velocity curves and also use the virtual tech to adjust all the other facets of the sound and mechanics.

Could have also called it: "How Yamaha absolutely mailed it in on making any effort to fine tune their default sounds on ModDX and Montage." Took you all of 3-4 minutes to fix the problem.
