That one (gum removal for aesthetic reasons) seems super problematic to me. The gums are part of the tooth supportive apparatus and are actually pretty important.

@maria de la vega del sol it happened when my third molars grew in (I don't have room in my mouth for those (let alone the wisdom teeth I'm supposed to have) and they tried growing in diagonal, but dentists refused to remove them) and once they were done and the gum was laser off they didn't do it again. My dentist was pretty sure that w!s the reason rather than hygiene.
@CaliforniaHalo3 жыл бұрын
@@leonamay8776 it depends. I had my gums lasered because they were just too much. They had been that way my whole life, but the overgrown part was not attached to my teeth so there was a high chance of getting food stuck and possibly infection. So they cut most off with surgery and then lasered to get a nice shape. My smile went from teeth that looked too small to normal sized teeth. But the gums are very important and I do think most people take it too far.
@leonamay87763 жыл бұрын
@@CaliforniaHalo yep. Gum health is super complex and strongly interlinked with tooth health in general. I'm not saying that the gums should never ever be cut. She was put into a coma and a team of doctors seriously considered amputating both of her legs in an attempt to stabilise her. A lot of the time the body will seperate the implant from the tissue around it by forming scar tissue, it ends up making the implant look weird so most people get it fixed but to my knowledge (I could be completely wrong) this specific type of ‘rejection’ isn’t too dangerous

Yeah but honestly ask yourself how many things men are insecure about CAN be fixed surgically. They don't want bigger breasts, they don't want bigger butts, they don't want bigger lips... And the things they DO want are MUCH more risky. Dick implants, the height surgery, jaw implants, muscle implants, ect.. all damage the areas soooo much more because these areas are often less fatty and right up against they're muscles or affect their bones. So while men aren't as pressured to look as good women, they ALSO have less options thus making them look for alternatives out of necessity. Hence why men are more obsessed with intense exercise and weight lifting than women, because that's their way of achieving those results. Women can't workout to get bigger tits, men can work out and get bigger muscles. Men can't really get results from muscle implants, women can get results from breast implants. Women also get pregnant and go through more physical changes than men naturally. Resulting in them having a constantly changing appearance that they're always having to adjust to, unlike men. Hence why it's mostly older women, women who have gone through these changes and are more likely to have been pregnant. Different insecurities, different bodies, different solutions. It's not just "society".

From what I have read about ANY surgery around the hip to the knee, even if fat is not injected directly into a blood vessel, due to the trauma to the area from surgery/inflammation, the permeability of the vessels is weakened and fat globules can shift into the vessels causing a PE. -RN
