I have had melasma/ post inflammatory hyperpigmentation for 8 yrs due to birth control and chemical peels. I waxed my eyebrows and face upper lip but did not wear the proper sunscreen or protection for my face when I went out into the sun light. I had a huge brown spot over my forehead and my upper lip turned darker. I have tried everything and went to so many dermatologist but nothing worked. I was so depressed. This year 2024, I started taking tranexamic acid pills from Musley on top of everything this video had shown and my face looks so much better. I finally can go out with only moisturizer and spf and not a ton of makeup and concealer. Just wanted to share my story and I hope it can help someone suffering with this melasma/hyperpigmentation stuff. ❤️✨

@@MsBizzyRae Oh my gosh ! That was me too! When I first tried Musely it didn’t do anything for me either and I was so upset I wish I never wasted my money on it. I think that was back in 2022. Something told me to give it a try again but this time I bought the spot pills and the spot cream and I really noticed a huge improvement. I also use a exfoliating polish I bought at a dermatology office once a week along with a good vitamin c, some products from the Ordinary and Good molecules and La Roche-Posay has a good dark spot correct called Mela B3 serum. I have had these dark spots for 9 yrs and finally I’m attacking it any way I can! And definitely trying not to be in the sun as much too! I know it’s hard to patient with this and you want it gone now but I promise it will go away just stay persistent and consistent! ❤️

I dispute the caused by sun claim I have spots that have rarely seen the sun and they have a larger skin print than the surrounding skin. I’ve tons of them and the dermo never suggested anything to lighten them told me they were just normal. I get them burned off but I’d be burning them off all day every day! So much for staying out of the sun!

I always stayed out of the sun, always wear sun screen, aka I'm a inside person lol . Then when i turned 38 these two large sun spots showed up on my face. I was shocked. I use niacinimide, vitamin c, retinol and a few other things but I haven't seen any change. Thanks for this video ! I learned a lot.

Get those burned off with liquid nitrogen! It’s the only thing that works for mine so I only do it with the big ones! I have spots where the sun never shines too. He never even mentioned glycation which is supposedly how they form, from oxidation of excess sugar molecules. That’s why you get them as you get older but some of us it’s hereditary. My sisters have way less than I do but our dad has tons and our mom has none at 86 and I’ve spent a lot less time in the sun as my mom as a kid! So I strongly dispute the sun theory.

@@momlee664… it’s age, genetics, and sun. Some are more sensitive to the sun than others, but for a lot of us, it’s sun exposure. I use to tan only my legs using a tanning bed for legs only because id get a regular tan fairly easy everywhere else. For a number of years I use to do that. Now my legs are covered in spots and I curse the day I started using that leg tanner. I have very few anywhere else. They’ll probably crop up later the older I get, but nothing like my legs. Both my parents Italian, my mom had few if any and my dad who was lighter- skinned like me had more of them. Still nothing like my legs. My brothers have none that I’ve noticed. Sun also causes wrinkles, sagging, skin- cancer. Haven’t you ever seen wrinkled, leathery looking sun worshippers at the beach, pool or lake? I have.

Hi Doctor. I used no creams or whatever to get rid of my sun spots. I went to a skin doctor and he used cryotherapy. He literally ‘burnt’ my spots with ice cold cryotherapy. My spots became like burn blisters, then after a week to 10 days they healed and were gone for good with no marks or any side effects, and a clear of sun and ageing spots skin!

I developed hyperpigmentation over my sinus cavities (cheeks, forehead) after plunging my sinuses with povidone iodine, diatomaceous earth, and fenbendazole (in the winter, so little sun exposure). The pigment literally traces my sinus cavity. I know doxycycline is used for sinus infections, so I'm wondering if a bacterial infection is involved, as we are cautioned against sun exposure while taking it. You mentioned some sort of quinine cream. Doesn't quinine kill bacteria? Interestingly, the darkest areas of pigment on my cheek is under my left eye, the area that clogs the worst. Also, have macular degeneration in that eye, and sinus pressure in that area affects that eye, corneal abrasions from lack of tears during flareups. We really need to rethink what causes melasma.
