Thanks again for everyone who tuned into Sunday's livestream...as you can see from this video, we had our hands full getting ready for the hurricane. The clean-up has been even more work and it's honestly just so sad all the beautiful old growth trees that we're lost in the storm. Thankfully, we made it out okay but a good lesson was learned...a Geodesic Dome is not a great place to ride out a storm LOL. For those of you who caught Sunday's livestream...what did you think? Guys-when you crawled under Ruby to change the filter,, the only thing holding that thing up was the hydraulic jack. And you didn't have the front tires chalked to ensure it doesn't move forward. Once you jack it up, you should always put jack stands underneath as a backup. With just the hydraulic jack, the vehicle moves forward for any reason and you're dead meat! Just concerned about your safety, not being judgmental. One day, I plan on staying in your B&B and want to make sure I meet both of you, if you catch my drift!

When we went underneath we put 2 jacks in the front and 2 jacks in the back so it stayed stable and then moved out the hydraulic Jack. Just too long to show the entire process in the video!

Guys, just an FYI. My son worked for Pro Solar in St Thomas Virgin Island. He was in charge of the airport and Blackbeard’s Resort. He said to let you know that if anything hits your panels and cracks them they still work. Many people think they need to buy new and the solar companies will tell you you need to buy new. Not true. We're going through a hurricane now, it was headed for Tampa Bay but hit fort Myers, so glad it didn't hit here because here in Clearwater my home is 1500 ft from the inner costal, my home would be underwater if it had hit us! Yes, I am in Lakeland, the storm and most of the rain missed us somehow miraculously! The eye of the hurricane 🌀 came right through here! But luckily, this town was on the west side of the eye wall, opposite of what meteorologist call the dirty side!

HI guys just wanted to share some healing vibes for Charlie and Tyler. You are such great parents to him and I share such deep love with my animals and would do anything for them.Unfortunately our family dog had this exact tumour and my dad didn't listen when I pointed it out. it grew so fast and by the time my dad took her to get looked at it was too late to operate. We had to put her down a few weeks ago . I was so angry and heart broken.I miss her so much.

Poor Charlie 😢 I'm glad you decided to go to a safer place. I've been through several hurricanes as a child when we lived in Florida. They are so dangerous. My dad would board up the windows and you couldn't see a thing. We only lived a few miles from the beach so the winds were strong. So happy to get a bonus video and glad you and your fur babies weathered the storm. See you on Sunday.

Double check all your bolts on the tires after you drive Ruby for a couple weeks. Sometime they loosen up. Literally saw a woman's tire fell off in a timmies drive thru & she had new tires put on recently. Stay safe guys.

It was a wild storm and the fact it was overnight and we couldn’t see anything made it way more stressful. We were fortunate to be some of the very very few that didn’t loose power. Glad you guys made out ok. Such a shame about all the beautiful old trees lost in the province and so sad to see the damage to their homes and property many people suffered😊

Backing up the fifth wheel almost ended a 30-year marriage several times. We bought a 33 ft fifth wheel in 2004. Never pulled any type of trailer before. Immediately headed west from Middle Tennessee to the Rocky Mountains. There were not a lot of pull through sites in the campgrounds at that time. If it had not been for kind old timers helping us and teaching us along the way we would have never survived that first year camping. We are in our late 70s now and no longer pull long distance anymore but we do miss those days. You had me laughing. Really glad that you didn't have too much serious damage. I had worried about you among all of those trees. Glad y'all are safe and really glad that the pup had nothing serious wrong with her.

So glad the dog's lumps are benign...what I've been through with my animals...if they have to have a procedure and can't be fed, I fast too. They're everything to me. I was separated from my cats for 3 years while I was in rehab and in and out of the hospital for a massive stroke. My sister-in-law stepped up to the plate and cared for them lovingly. in fact they lived the life of Riley, but my old girl, my dear heart, Molly was failing and my SIL had the awful responsibility of having her euthanized. My SIL is gone now, we lost her in May 2023 from pancreatic cancer. She didn't deserve that. I am so glad you found each other, love watching you work and have fun together. Hello from humid CT

I agree whole heartedly with Mitchel Fortier. Relying on a jack alone is WAY too dangerous. My father was a safety consultant, and used to show us the results of horrific accidents, by photos or film, and it worked for me. Accidents can happen to anyone at any time, but taking tried and true precautions, will prevent lots of heartache for your family, friends, and each other. Can you imagine how horrifying it would be if one of you was badly injured, or worse, right in front of the other? That’s an image I can’t even think about. PLUS, on a selfish note, I enjoy my Sundays visiting with both of you and the Van Wives, it makes my week. Thanks so much!

I had a large dog who had tumors, and we had to go through several surgeries, but I’m glad I did because it extended his life for several years and I wanted to share with you that you’re giving the dog a better quality of life I to get emotional just sharing the story but that dog gave me the greatest love of all, as all my animals after him do. ❤️

I feel for you two guys! I can feel how much you love your dogs! I lost my black lab when he was 10 years old! It was devastating! The only thing he lived for was to be in the same room with me, and be able to hear my voice. I took him everywhere I went, hotels and all! He was the joy of my life, for sure! awww poor Charlie. So happy to hear hes doing okay, and that the lumps were not serious. My little girl Willow went in for surgery last year and she was so mad at me. She wouldnt even let me touch her. When I did she pulled away. I was so heart broken to see her in pain. But it was something she had to have done. I felt like the worst fur baby momma in the world. On another note! I was one of the ones who suggested Ruby! hahah so happy to hear that is her name! Wow, you two deal with so much! Thanks for keeping us updated. Tyler, please, please, please do not stand behind a falling tree pushing on it. That is extremely dangerous. We should have warned you the first time we watched you doing that. Dad was a professional faller and warned us emphatically against that action. Too many fallers have been killed by falling trees kicking back as they fall. The laws of physics make the top of the tree want to fall vertically to the ground and for that to happen the stump end of the tree needs to kick back. We care a lot for you two and would hate to see disaster strike, especially if a warning from us could have prevented harm coming your way.

You guys, don't feel bad about the trouble backing the camper in. My husband and I came home late at night and he was trying to back the camper in the dark. Well he finally came to a stopping point when the truck couldn't move because of a dogwood tree, which was under a huge old pine tree. I said, "let's go to bed and in the morning you can cut down the dogwood. That's just what he did. It was going to be done anyway, because of future building. I love watching and listening to you.
