Central Jersey here; my 4th pull was in mid August. 11 gal, half uncapped, but below 18 percent moisture..Not for resale but personal use. Pull the suppers. Start treating for mites then feed 1:1 syrup to raise winter bees. The problem is you’re a month late. Supposed to pull honey supers during the summer dearth, then treat for mites, then feed. The mite treatment will shut the queen down for few weeks, I like Apiguard.

Maybe pull the frames that are mostly full and capped and let the bees have the mostly uncapped frames for themselves. It would save you the trouble of feeding.

Please give them to the dry sugar some water too. They need it, otherwise lots of beekeepers are wondering, why the bees are dead in spring.

Top super might get capped, but the second is not likely. They may start to move some down to the brood areas to make it easier in winter. Less area to keep warm, from what I understand. Generally, I have seen most other keepers on KZbin starting to sort out their hives for winter. If you have that many bees in there, you might want to check for queen cups. Sometimes there could be fall swarms if too much pressure is on the hive. And don’t forget inspections for hive beetles and other issues before winter. Have seen several guys online that lost hives over winter because of mites and beetles.

I would take the honey supers away to harvest the honey, and feed the bees for winter right now with 2:1 sugar syrup.

Give them another week or two. Pull them when the weather gets cold.

They’ll eat it if you don’t remove it but then you don’t have to feed them
