Keep in mind that there are other amazing brands to get into besides Rolex, Ap, Patek. If you’re geniunely into watches and not the status element, look at brands like JLC, Zenith, Omega, Breitling, Glashütte Original, Grand Seiko, IWC, Girard Perregeaux, H Moser for some amazing value purchases

This channel has some good info in regards to the market and pricing and Eric seems like a good guy, but it is overly saturated with hype brands/models. I don’t feel a true watch enthusiasts is going to have just models that will only appreciate in value. You would think only 3 watch brands exist and it gets tiring. Rolex increased production to 1200000 (vs 1050000), reduced number of models from 1358 to 1221, number of Daytonas from 44 to 32 (count their web page). At least in Asia AD,s are selling back door like crazy, selling into the grey market like crazy. Not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 discontinued Daytonas into the grey market, clearly coming from AD which held back stock, disgusting. Love this watches but Rolex has to clean this. Please sell watches to real lovers and stop this flipping game.

Thanks for the production numbers; good info. Agree. And Rolex could easily squash flipping - buy back a few on each continent; trace them back to the AD. Either terminate that AD - and make sure word gets out - or severely limit their allocation for the next 5 years.

The way things are going i think collectors would be wise to focus on as high end pieces as possible. I see it as a real possibility that the market for sub 20k will disappear, as that class in society that would buy these simply will not exist.
