Alright so I have a '14 BMW 228i M sport. I'm looking to get something similar for sound I currently have just a muffler delete and it sounds good but not enough. I'm considering on doing a resonator delete aswell but not sure on the drone or it sounding too ricey. What are your thoughts on where I should go from here. Car sounds and looks amazing BTW!

Hello, when I had my 228i, it was fully straight piped so I had a catless downpipe, resonator delete and muffler delete. I personally loved the sound. The drone was surprisingly bearable so it wasn't loud when cruising and I could have a normal convo. During normal accelerating, the car was loud after shifting when landing around 2.5k rpms. It was such a unique sound. The most obnoxious thing was the cold starts. It was insane. I have a 435i fully straight piped and catless and my previous 228i was way louder during cold starts so I tuned cold starts off. I recommend going catless paired with a muffler and resonator delete but if you think it's too loud and/or raspy, just put back the resonator and keep the cattless downpipe and muffler delete.

@@ethaninocando So I ended up going with a resonator delete for now. So now it's has no muffler and no resonator and it sounds real nice... nice amount of popping when in sport mode. Loud enough to satisfy what I was looking for and not at all droney, has awesome sound when cruising it barely sounds like anything is done with the car. Thanks again for your output man ! It is 100% up to you. See what sound you like best. Try a muffler delete then if you want louder then take off the resonator

To be honest with you, theres a little bit of drone but it doesn't bother me at all. I drive with music and I'm used to driving v8's.

@@rauldeleon6728 Yes my 228i never gave me a single problem. I ran a stage 2 93 oct tune by bm3 and a flame tune by alpine.n55 and my car was still very reliable. There's a lot of after market support for the n20/n26 engine which is found in the 228i. There's also exterior aftermarket mods such as front lip, rear diffuser and spoiler. I will say there's more aftermarket support for the f30 and f32 compared to the f22

@@jaganathachatooah1466 Is your flame tune by alpine.n55, if so, just ask him for bigger bigger flames. What I did to get these big flames was I turned off the car for a minute or a few seconds and turned it back on and revved it to red line in dsc off. I found that to shoot the biggest flames

@@Richard-yy8wu It's a custom tune by another tuner on BM3. You can request custom maps from different tuners so I got mine form alpine.n55. The tune has been running great.
