If you don't have any of Jimmy's recordings in your collection, go get some. He plays a variety of styles from standards to more modern sounds and is truly one of the greats of jazz guitar.

I LIVE IN poverty and saved up 150.00 for a guitar....I bought the cheapest one in the store an Epiphone DR100WR THAT was 5 years ago.I absolutely love it...It's Loud and Boisterous and does exactly what I want... I'VE been PRACTISING 2 hours a day with this GUITAR and have gotten pretty good I must say WE HAVE become good friends.....

Jimmy you are a gift for all pickers to listen, watch and wonder. You inspire and instruct a wonderful combination. Thanks for allowing me to get drunk with you back at jj's grotto. You made me rethink everything I thought I knew. I'm 75 and still trying to understand the gift that the "gods " gave us in the guitar. Merry Christmas and many more Happy New Years

I like the first and the fourth guitars for the electric jazz sound. Also, they have the classic "Jimmy Bruno sound" I've heard from over the years. The second and third sound more acoustic.

I like the single coil sound. The round wounds have a clear top end. The flat wounds are darker with more bass. All the guitars sound great. I like to add a little treble to the flat wounds on the amp for clarity. "Cry Me A River" is so cool. I'd like to work on that one for my next trip to the bunker for a lesson.
@Guitfiddlejase6 жыл бұрын
I really dig the Comins the most..the guitar itself..the flats.. The real treat is hearing you doing “Corcovado” and “Cry Me..” very cool..now you are playing “Angel Eyes”..that black guitar sounds awfully good on either setting!! Is that a Benny? A Pat Martino? I don’t know..but I can certainly say that your hands are the key! Merry Christmas to you too Jimmy.. Much love Sir.

0:47 ...About the FB thing... in my experience you can't delete a FB page, you can only deactivate it.. 10 years ago our middle school daughter's FB page was hacked and someone posing as her made all kinds of rude and malicious remarks about her friends, it was devastating (to the point our daughter was suicidal). The police and FB were no help in identifying what computer these comments were coming from, FB refused to turn over data to the police (and after awhile the police just quit investigating)... in this respect FB sucks and blows shit...

Just love your playing Jimmy. Almost effortlessly sounding. You have to remember, FB is not his original idea. He stole that whole concept from someone else. I used to spend hours on that crap years ago. My wife is completely amazed how much my playing has improved over the last year and a half. What a waste of time.

I think you are becoming a string guy. There is a lot to explore. Do you ever use the real expensive ones with George benson’s name on them, the thomastik infelds? And do you still like the half wound or roller wound strings? Haven’t seen them mentioned lately

"Too many guitars"..... Not sure that's possible or even a "thing". I won a nice acoustic at an office Christmas party, and my wife has the AUDACITY to ask "which one are you taking off the wall to hang the new one?" Um....honey....I have plenty more hangers and wall space! Lol
