Yeah,you're one of the most intelligent commanders of XCOM and even with those mistakes you've made you adapted to the situation almost immediately by hatching a contingency plan and your soldiers have made it out mostly unscathed. Don't let those mistakes get in the way because human beings learn from mistakes and you are no exception.

I could be wrong but it was my understanding that the 2 in "Shutdown 2" refers to two actions, AKA one full turn. Sometimes you will see Shutdown 1, which usually ends with them not moving and just lobbing missles at you

20:00 I'm theorising the lost swarm failed to trigger because of the shadow chamber report on mission select. Having a fixed number of enemies may have broken the swarm mechanic. More datapoints needed to confirm/refute the hypothesis :P

This is the first episode where I was unsure if you finish the mission successfully or not. Very tense until the last move by the Advent General. Great episode as usual!

Quick tip: when doing hunt the commander missions when you have a reaper you can just use the reaper to scout around to find the commander without blowing concealment and activating the countdown, then nuke him into oblivion, *then* begin slaughtering every hostile entity on the map at your leisure.

I'm almost certain he already knows and just doesn't want it to be too easy, because reaper scouting alone strats can flawless 95% of missions in the entire game lol

In Japanese, Kageboshi is pronounced pretty much like Pete did (the O is the long one, though) and means a shadow or silhoutte which is clear enough to identify the person or object casting it.

I don't remember the details off the top of my head, but the game does stop spawning lost after enough enemies have been on a mission. And, of course, there are mods that raise that limit, sometimes making it high enough to be effectively infinite.

On this mission, i hide everyone less the reaper, send her to solo find de comander, place 2 claimores on hin and throw a granede. After i use the Bond extra move to hide the reaper and move the others to help her

I personally run snipers with expanded mag, scope and repeaters to maximise killzone. Since if you activate killzone on your turn, it triggers once then and then once again when it's enemy turn.

Dang. Yeah, that was a bit of a rough one. Julian seems to really be a monkey wrench in the works. He has that cursed ability to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory." As a Nebraska Cornhusker fan, I know the feeling all too well. Julian has a 94% shot? Better have a back-up plan. His primary ability seems to be the stock damage.

I think almost everyone has been gotten by the 'Stunned 2' thing as it seems logical to think it means two turns, not two actions. I certainly thought that was what it meant at first. Someone I watched play the game explained it in their video before I understood what was happening.

I really don't like how psionic training works in this game. There's no incentive to take a psionic soldier into combat (other than his actual combat potential) and you're actually paying opportunity cost by not only not training him at that time, but also preventing a non-psionic soldier from getting xp.

Playing around with other games of this type that came after it made me realize how poorly designed some of the systems were in this. Psionic, hacking, stealth and I'd even argue movement and shooting. Still love the game though but I really hope xcom 3 is a major improvement
