Even though you said you would be slowing down reviews, you're are the ones i like the most. Especially the ones where you review an entire wave at once. Hope some of those still come up in the future. Also I have the bandai model kit R2 and C3P0 and I love them. I painted the grey plastic on R2 with a molotow liquid chrome and it looks so f-ing good!

Oh yeah, I'll still be doing them here and there, and much prefer the full wave/multiple figures from a line at the same time. So those'll still pop up when I spend the money on those, haha.

I'm pretty partial to the Mafex R2, though that might be me trying to justify paying for that awful, wobbly 3PO just to get R2. The worst part is I'm considering doing the same thing again to get the Mafex BB8 😬

It was worth it, also you can swap out resistance 3P0's red arm and bam he doesn't fall over all the time.

Nobody has come close to topping the Figuarts R2 (yet). It’s damn near like a shrunken down actual movie-prop! The only way to realistically top it would be if it had working lights and actual coated wires on the feet. 😅

This is totally an episode I R2. Clean and ready to repair the ship. (Queens gambit?) If hasbro wanted to make a real RotJ R2 it would have come with the drink tray or holo of Luke or lightsaber

The new BS R2 is the best value for the money. So happy that Hasbro finally got him updated & closer to screen accurate. The accessories storage though is :chefskiss: He's the perfect addition to anyone's 6" collection. Also, backwards Star Trek Phaser.... 🤣

My mom had actually bought me the R2 when it came out for a birthday gift, and at that point I hadn't been a collector since 3 3/4" power of the force stuff. When TFA came around I was so excited I bought Kylo and Rey Black Series figures, they had come such a long way since the 90s, and I was hooked. Been 6" collector since. That said, I still don't have the new R2 yet, but I'm hoping to get it soon. I do have the model kits that I customized a bit so I'm partial to those being my main R2.

When it comes to the model, MAFEX, SHF, and this, it really does become a matter of preference. All are great in their own ways, and close enough in size to all be considered correct.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the less I would mind if Hasbro used the old body for the Kenner tribute R7 unit from Ahsoka. It just seems fitting to me that it would be a little smaller

i have like10 of the bandai model kit droids lol A few I've painted in custom colours. I got the new black series R2 and R5, so will paint my spare R2 model kit into a different colour :P but i also want to paint the black series accessories Also currently have the bandai model C-3PO (best 1/12 version) 1 painted in black, 1 painted in white, gonna paint another in blue, green etc lol

I only grabbed the RotJ R2-D2 a few weeks ago. It's not the most action-y thing, obviously, but it's just... neat. It's fun for what it is and it has a lot of shelf presence. Now Hasbro just need to put out a new C-3PO!
